HIKMICRO's STELLAR 4.0 and THUNDER 4.0 Bring 1280 Thermal to Hunters

Hangzhou, China – October 28, 2026 -- HIKMICRO is launching the STELLAR 4.0 thermal scope and the THUNDER 4.0 thermal clip-on, led by the flagship X-1280 models SX75LR 4.0 and TQ70CL 4.0, plus a broader range of 640-resolution models. The theme is "When Seeing Becomes Knowing": more usable detail at long distances, high magnification and against complex backgrounds.

The X-1280 models put more detail into the first view

The X-1280 models use an all-new optical design that pairs 1280 sensors with focal lengths of 70 mm and above. The aim is a detailed image the moment a hunter looks through the device, without extra zooming or adjustment. On the SX75LR 4.0, a 3.0x base magnification brings distant subjects closer while keeping the surrounding scene visible.

A 1280x1024 detector with 12 mK NETD drives the image

The core of the X-1280 models is a 1280x1024 thermal detector with 12 mK NETD, which captures finer thermal differences. IMAGE PRO 4.0 improves image quality and scene readability across both families. STELLAR 4.0 adds Intelligent Zoom for AI-enhanced clarity as magnification increases.

HSIS keeps observation continuous without calibration-related image freezing. SYNC PRO keeps the image and controls responsive during use.

STELLAR 4.0 builds the laser rangefinder into the lens

The SX75LR 4.0 uses what HIKMICRO calls an industry-first LRF Inside Lens design. It integrates laser ranging into the optical system and keeps the clean profile of a traditional tube scope. The rangefinder reaches up to 1,200 meters, and ballistic calculation supports aiming adjustments when haze or changing weather complicate ranging.

A 1.3 cm click value at 100 meters allows finer corrections. Focus and magnification controls sit at the rear of the scope. An 8 mm exit pupil and 55 mm eye relief allow more freedom in head and eye position.

THUNDER 4.0 packs X-1280 quality into a compact clip-on

The TQ70CL 4.0 brings flagship X-1280 image quality into a compact clip-on body designed to work with an existing daytime-optic setup. A lever design makes key adjustments faster while keeping the operating position familiar.

HIKMICRO says every unit gets 100% precision checks before shipment. The company states a point-of-impact deviation of approximately 3 cm at 100 meters, equivalent to around 1 MOA.
