Santa Monica, Calif. – September 22, 2026 -- Rabbit has released OS3, a cloud-based agentic operating system that lets users control up to five devices by simply describing a desired outcome in a single chat window.
The system installs via one command through what the company calls the rabbit agent, then decides which connected device -- a local PC, cloud VM, or dedicated AI machine -- should handle each task, moving work between them as needed.
One conversation replaces scattered chat threads
OS3 eliminates session lists entirely. Instead of managing separate chats, users interact through a single continuous conversation that retains memory of prior requests while working in the background.
Users can plug in any AI model or skill they already use
OS3 supports a 'bring your own key' setup, letting people connect API keys from major AI labs, cloud routers, or locally hosted models without losing context or memory when switching. Any published skill can be added by pasting its URL into the chat, with no command-line setup required.
The system can write and run code without being told how
Using rabbit's DLAM technology alongside a local agent, OS3 can operate desktop software, files, and web pages directly, in addition to autonomously writing, debugging, and running software workflows.
Files stay on the user's computer, rabbit says
The company states the local rabbit agent does not copy, store, or sell data. Task-related content is routed through rabbit's servers to a user-selected model provider under that provider's own data terms, but rabbit says it does not retain copies, and files remain on the user's machine. OS3 only takes user-initiated actions, requiring confirmation for sensitive tasks, and permissions can be revoked at any time.
