Los Angeles – October 15, 2026 -- Reolink's Home Hub 2 is now on sale in the U.S. for $199.99, letting owners of Reolink cameras search their recordings by keyword, store everything locally and skip monthly fees. The hub, unveiled at IFA 2026, manages up to eight cameras from one place.
Describe the footage, and the hub finds it
The headline feature is Local AI Video Search, powered by Reolink's ReoNeura on-device AI engine. Users type simple keywords to search recordings from all connected cameras instead of manually scrubbing through playback. Every search runs on the hub itself, so no cloud subscription is needed.
Cross-Camera Tracking follows a detected object from camera to camera and merges the clips into a single video. A time-lapse feature condenses long events, such as sunrises or construction projects, into seconds.
Custom alerts arrive in an upcoming firmware update
That update will add Custom AI Detection and AI self-learning. Users will be able to train the system to recognize situations unique to their property, such as a side gate left open. The hub can already send alerts with images to Discord, Telegram and Slack.
A built-in alarm center sounds a siren when any connected camera is triggered. Owners can pick a ringtone or upload a custom sound.
A new SATA slot adds storage beyond microSD
The hub takes a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD through its SATA slot, alongside a microSD slot that supports up to 1TB. Bank-level encryption protects recordings from unauthorized access, even if a camera or microSD card is stolen.
The hub keeps recording when the internet drops
Home Hub 2 connects up to eight Reolink cameras at up to 16MP resolution. Supported models include battery Wi-Fi, plug-in Wi-Fi and PoE cameras, over 2.4/5GHz WiFi 6. The hub creates its own local network, so compatible cameras keep recording to it if the home internet connection fails.
Setup takes three steps in the Reolink App. There, users can watch high-definition live feeds and playback from multiple cameras. A Regular Security Summary shows daily, weekly or monthly statistics of motion detection events, with a jump straight to playback.
The hub also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so users can view feeds on Echo Show and Google Nest Hub displays. All features come without a subscription or monthly fees. The Home Hub 2 is available at Reolink.com for $199.99.
