Bologna, Italy – September 19, 2026 -- TECNO and Tonino Lamborghini hosted roughly thirty media representatives, creators and business partners in Bologna to unveil the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition smartphone.
Palazzo del Vignola sets the stage for the reveal
The event, themed "Where Boldness Begins," took guests to Tonino Lamborghini's headquarters at the historic Palazzo del Vignola. Attendees took part in a garden welcome event, an on-site product unveiling, and hands-on time with the device throughout the visit.
Tonino Lamborghini has built its design identity over more than four decades, drawing on Italian heritage and mechanical inspiration. The brand's signature black-and-red palette and engineering-inspired aesthetics run through the limited-edition phone.
The phone's design borrows engineering cues from Lamborghini's world
The device features a black-and-red color scheme, a "Pulse Line" detail across the rear panel suggesting movement, and a "Signature Shield" built through a dual-layer stacking process. A dual-layer rear cover with internal mirror structures creates layered depth and dynamic visual effects as the phone moves.
The Alive Matrix Display includes a custom "L" signature effect, and the phone's software interface extends the same visual language into the digital experience. The collaboration extends beyond exterior design into materials, the customized interface and accessories.
Executives frame the collaboration as a fusion of heritage and youth culture
Tonino Lamborghini, Founder and President of the brand, said the collaboration brings his brand's bold Italian identity into a new technological form, calling it an expression of individuality for young users. He noted the launch took place at his own headquarters to better share the brand's identity, established in 1981.
Laury Bai, CMO of TECNO, said the Bologna trip let guests experience firsthand where the product's inspiration originates and what connects the two brands, combining Tonino Lamborghini's design language with POVA's youthful identity.
