Seoul – October 11, 2026 -- Arirang TV premieres "K-FOOD: Gyeongbuk Edition" on October 14 at 9:00 a.m. (KST), with new episodes every Wednesday at the same time for four weeks. The series follows two celebrity teams through Mungyeong, Pohang, Gyeongju and Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
The show is billed as a "taste road variety" program. Regional signature dishes, tourist sights, history, culture and hands-on activities are woven into one travel story. The cast works as a "Taste Crew": they try local food, join tours and activities, and turn their travel photos and videos into social media content for global viewers.
Two teams of three split the journey
Kwon Hyuk-soo, Yujeong and Harin make up Team A. Shindong, Lim Do-hwa and Seungwoo form Team B. The cast also takes on a dance challenge.
Mungyeong and Pohang open the series
Episode 1 covers Mungyeong. It visits the Mungyeong Coal Museum, Jinnamgyoban, a rail bike ride and Mungyeong Saejae. The food on the menu includes spicy freshwater fish stew and Yakdol pork.
Episode 2 moves to Pohang, with stops at Yeongildae Beach, Jukdo Market, SpaceWalk and Homigot. Snow crab and mulhoe, a chilled raw fish soup, are the featured dishes, set against East Sea scenery.
Gyeongju and Andong close it out
Episode 3 explores Gyeongju: the Gyeongju National Museum, Gyochon Village, the House of the Gyeongju Choi Clan, Luge World, and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. It covers Silla history and traditional culture, plus a side of the city aimed at younger visitors.
Episode 4 is set in Andong, at Hahoe Folk Village, Sinse-dong Mural Village and Andong Old Market. The dishes are heotjesatbap, gan-godeungeo (salted mackerel) and Andong jjimdak, alongside traditional culture and contemporary travel content.
Food is not the only focus. The series also covers the history, people, nature and experiences of the places where each dish originated. Arirang TV says it aims to channel global interest in K-FOOD into regional tourism and to promote Gyeongsangbuk-do overseas.
