Orlando – October 15, 2026 -- Grande Lakes Orlando opens its open-air ice-skating rink and annual Christmas Market on November 25, and reopens its renovated championship golf course on November 1 ahead of the 2026 PNC Championship.
The open-air rink adds a new brasserie and poolside cocoa cabanas
The rink, billed as Orlando's only open-air ice-skating rink, returns November 25 on the resort's expansive lawn. It debuts alongside Rinkside Brasserie, an à la carte restaurant with seasonal dishes. The Fireside Lounge serves gourmet s'mores and more items from the Rinkside menu.
Guests can also book the Grande Cocoa Cabanas by the heated pools. The private cabanas come with Grand Marnier hot cocoa, gourmet s'mores and dedicated food and beverage service.
The Christmas Market runs November 25 through January 2
The European-inspired market is open to resort guests and the public. Its artisanal chalets include:
- the Signature Toy Shoppe, with trinkets and keepsakes;
- the Alpine Chalet, serving Alpine Melts and Currywurst Sausage;
- the Nutcracker Chalet, with artisanal nuts and gourmet popcorn;
- The Sweet Haus, with boozy hot chocolates, cookies and s'mores;
- the Yuletide Spritz Bar, with handcrafted spritzes and seasonal cocktails;
- the Pretzel Haus, with sweet and savory pretzels;
- Arctic Treasures, with culinary specialties and holiday gifts.
Activities include family gingerbread decorating, ornament-making sessions, face painting and a Build Your Own Birdie workshop.
Greg Norman's team redesigned the golf course for the PNC Championship
Starting November 1, golfers can play the renovated course, which the resort will showcase as host of the 2026 PNC Championship. Two-time British Open champion Greg Norman and his team led the redesign. It aims to preserve the surrounding ecosystem and wildlife. Upgrades include enhanced practice facilities, elevated greens and refined green contours, for golfers of all skill levels.
New Year's Eve options range from a six-course dinner to a kids' night
The resort's annual fireworks display welcomes 2027. At Primo, guests choose a four-course tasting menu or a six-course celebration with live entertainment, a Taittinger Champagne toast and access to a private terrace overlooking the midnight fireworks.
At JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, the New Year's Eve Party at EvrBar offers live music, private party booths and complimentary Champagne for the countdown. NYE Champagne Cabanas add poolside Champagne bottles and dining service from Knife Burger.
The NYE Kids Night Out includes a kid-friendly buffet dinner, games, music, dancing, crafts and a countdown.
