Ice Castles Returns to New Hampshire for Winter 2026–27

North Woodstock – October 14, 2026 -- Ice Castles will reopen its walk-through ice attraction at 24 Clark Farm Road in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, for the 2026–27 winter season. The team hopes to open in late December, weather permitting, and plans to stay open into early March.

Color-changing LEDs light tunnels, towers and slides from inside the ice

Visitors can walk through frozen tunnels, archways, towers, slides and caverns, all sculpted entirely from ice. At night, color-changing LED lights glow from within the walls.

The site covers about one acre and uses 20 million pounds of ice. Ice artisans grow, harvest and hand-place tens of thousands of icicles over several weeks, with up to 12,000 grown and placed each day.

Opening dates hinge on winter ice and weather conditions

Ice Castles has not yet set an opening date or put tickets on sale. Guests can subscribe for updates at the company's website or join the season interest list. Tickets are timed-entry and sold online only.

The attraction sits just off I-93, Exits 32/33. Admission includes the Mystic Forest Light Walk and snow tubing.

A new ice carving championship arrives Feb. 26–28, 2027

The First Annual New England Ice Carving Championships will take place at the North Woodstock site from Feb. 26 to 28, 2027.

Founder and Chief Creative Officer Brent Christensen called the Lincoln–Woodstock area a cornerstone community for the attraction. Ice Castles reports 5.8 million visitors to date. Additional locations for the 2026–27 season will be announced soon.
