Fort Worth, Texas – September 12, 2026 -- Travelers booking Round the World trips through oneworld.com will now receive a free subscription to Timeshifter, a jet lag app used by more than 1.7 million people worldwide.
The complimentary subscription, effective immediately, covers a customer's entire itinerary, factoring in every flight and time zone change from departure to final return.
Timeshifter builds personalized plans around each traveler's flight schedule
The app uses circadian science to generate advice tailored to a customer's flight itinerary, typical sleep pattern, chronotype, and personal preferences. Timeshifter says it is already used by astronauts, Formula One teams, and professional athletes.
Roger Blackburn, vice president of Loyalty and Commercial for oneworld, said the partnership aims to help travelers arrive ready to enjoy each destination by supporting better sleep and faster time zone adjustment, calling jet lag a significant factor in health and wellbeing. Mickey Beyer-Clausen, CEO of Timeshifter, said air travel has optimized nearly every part of flying except the toll multiple time zones take on travelers.
Jet lag stems from a mismatch between body clock and local time, not poor sleep
According to the companies, jet lag is a temporary misalignment between a person's internal circadian clock and local time at their destination, rather than a sleep disorder. The circadian clock regulates sleep, alertness, digestion, and immune function on a 24-hour cycle, taking cues from light and darkness.
When travelers cross several time zones, the light-dark cycle shifts by hours, but the internal clock adjusts by only about an hour per day on its own. Precise timing of light exposure and avoidance is the only way to speed adjustment; incorrect timing can worsen jet lag.
