Tamarack, Idaho – October 06, 2026 -- Tamarack Resort has been named one of the top ski resorts in the country in Condé Nast Traveler's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, based on more than 798,867 survey responses from travelers across the United States.
Readers rank Tamarack among the nation's best ski destinations
The Readers' Choice Awards are among the travel industry's longest-running reader-voted accolades. Scott Turlington, President of Tamarack Resort, called the honor 'an incredible honor,' noting it came directly from travelers who experienced the mountain and community firsthand.
The resort sits 90 miles north of Boise on Lake Cascade
Tamarack offers 2,800 vertical feet of skiing and riding across 2,000 mountain acres, with 59 named ski runs and three terrain parks. The resort averages approximately 300 inches of annual snowfall and pairs its slopes with a pedestrian-friendly alpine village featuring lodging, dining, après-ski and Nordic skiing.
The recognition follows other 2026 accolades for Tamarack
Travel + Leisure named Tamarack the No. 1 Resort in the West in its 2026 World's Best Awards. Golfweek ranked the resort's Osprey Meadows Golf Course the No. 1 public-access golf course in Idaho for 2026. This summer, Tamarack also opened a new marina on Lake Cascade with 100 boat slips and a fuel dock.
