Treehouse Hotel Manchester Adds Rooftop Bars, Nine Suites and Padel Courts

Manchester – September 22, 2026 -- Treehouse Hotel Manchester has unveiled a major expansion, adding three new rooftop dining and drinking venues, nine premium suites, and expanded wellness facilities including padel courts and an outdoor sauna.

Three new venues open across the 14th and 15th floors

The rooftop additions include Sister Moon, a restaurant from Chef Sam Grainger with hospitality collaborators Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford; The Nest, an agave-focused cocktail bar; and The Hideout, a speakeasy-style lounge with its own outdoor terrace. Sister Moon's menu blends British ingredients with Southeast Asian influences and open-fire cooking, featuring dishes such as red prawn toast with red curry bisque, Singapore chilli crab and lobster baked noodles, and an 80-day-aged beef ribeye.

The Nest serves signature cocktails with rotating DJ takeovers

The Nest's cocktail menu includes the Green Mango Margarita with tequila, green mango, yuzu and lime, plus the mezcal-based Smoked Cherry Harlem and the Gold Light Spritz with gin, elderflower and prosecco. The bar will host rotating "Skyline Takeovers" with guest DJs and "Golden Hour Rituals" tied to Manchester's changing light.

Nine new suites span the 11th and 12th floors

The hotel's new premium suites, including Presidential Suites and interconnecting rooms, are designed for families, groups and extended stays. They feature kitchenettes, walk-in wardrobes, dining areas and reading nooks, with some units able to combine into larger private accommodations.

Padel courts and a wood-fired sauna expand wellness options

Guests now have access to two covered, panoramic padel courts at The Pollen Club, located next to the hotel, which host a Friday evening "Serve & Social" with DJs and food from Sister Moon. The Good Sauna Co. has added an outdoor wood-fired Finnish sauna and cold plunge area at the property.

Barry Sternlicht, Founder and Chairman of Starwood Hotels, said the goal was for Treehouse to feel more like a home than a hotel as it grows. The hotel, located at the corner of Blackfriars Street and Deansgate, opened in 2025 and already includes Pip, an all-day lounge from Chef Mary-Ellen McTague, and Flix, an on-site cinema. Interiors for the new floors were designed by House of Black in partnership with Starwood Hotels' design team, using reclaimed woods, patchwork textiles and a mixed-media art collection.
