Berlin – September 12, 2026 -- SATELLAI has introduced its next-generation Sense AI system and two new connected pet wearables at IFA 2026, aiming to translate animal behavior data into plain-language insights for owners.
SATELLAI Sense AI turns raw activity data into readable behavior summaries
The system combines pet sensor data, owner-provided information, and breed-specific context to flag behavioral patterns and changes over time. New features debuting on the SATELLAI Cat Tag include Pet Personality Portraits, a Pet Diary that narrates daily activity, and a Virtual Pet Nanny that highlights unusual shifts in habits. "Smart sensors give us data, but AI gives that data context," said Mark Mao, founder and CEO of SATELLAI. The company states Sense AI is designed to build understanding, not to diagnose medical conditions.
The SATELLAI Cat Tag weighs about 4 grams and targets indoor cats
The Bluetooth-connected tag attaches to a safety collar and tracks activity and behavior for cats moving through tight indoor spaces. A follow-up model, the SATELLAI Cat Tag Pro, will add LTE and GPS connectivity for outdoor cats. Both devices launch in late 2026 across the US, Europe, and Japan.
The Tracker Ultra connects pets beyond cellular network coverage
Built around a Qualcomm 9205S modem and compatible with Skylo's satellite network, the harness-mounted Tracker Ultra pairs GPS positioning with direct satellite connectivity for dogs in areas without cellular signal.
Partnerships with Deutsche Telekom IoT and Swift Navigation back global expansion
SATELLAI is working with Deutsche Telekom IoT on global IoT connectivity for future connected pet products, while a collaboration with Swift Navigation aims to improve positioning accuracy and location data reliability for its dog-focused devices.
SATELLAI previously won CNET's "Best of CES 2026" award in the Pet Tech category and received Best of IFA recognition from German tech outlets PCWelt and ComputerBild.
