WellPD Wristband Tracks Parkinson's Symptoms at Home
Boston – October 29, 2026 -- People with Parkinson's can now order WellPD, an FDA-cleared and CE-marked wrist-worn device from Empatica that tracks tremor, dyskinesia and bradykinesia at home, along with sleep and activity.
A companion app pulls those measurements into daily summaries. The aim is to help users see how their symptoms fluctuate, spot changes around medication doses and talk through those patterns with their care teams.
Symptoms shift by the hour, and memory is a poor logbook
Parkinson's symptoms can vary from one hour to the next, including as medication takes effect or wears off. In an appointment, recalling when changes happened, how long they lasted and how they affected daily life can be hard.
