Subaru Marks WRX's 25th, BRZ's 15th Year With Limited Anniversary Editions

Camden, N.J. – September 28, 2026 -- Subaru of America unveiled two limited-production anniversary models, the 2027 WRX GD25 and 2027 BRZ ZC15, at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania, with only 350 and 300 units built respectively.

The names reference the chassis codes of each car's U.S. debut: the WRX arrived in 2002 on the "GD" platform, while the BRZ launched in 2012 on the "ZC" chassis.

The WRX GD25 pairs World Rally Blue paint with rally-inspired hardware

The WRX GD25 comes exclusively in World Rally Blue over gold-painted 19-inch alloy wheels, uprated Brembo brakes with gold calipers, and Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. A dry carbon fiber swan-neck rear wing from Subaru Tecnica International -- the same part used on Travis Pastrana's WRX ARA25L rally car -- sits at the rear, while a flexible strut tower bar and performance-tuned suspension sharpen handling.

The automaker says the new pricing makes the Impreza the most affordable all-wheel-drive compact vehicle on sale in the U.S.

The base trim gets a lower price without losing key features

The 2027 base model comes standard with a 2.5-liter, 180-horsepower SUBARU BOXER engine, dark gray 17-inch alloy wheels, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, and Keyless Access with Push-Button Start. It also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual 7.0-inch touchscreens, dual-zone automatic climate control, and USB-A and USB-C charging ports.

EyeSight now includes Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering.

A new hybrid Wilderness trim joins the off-road lineup

The 2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid, priced at $40,495 MSRP, marks the first time Subaru has paired its rugged Wilderness package with a hybrid powertrain. It offers 9.3 inches of ground clearance, Yokohama GEOLANDAR all-terrain tires, and Subaru's X-MODE Dual-Mode system, delivering better fuel economy than the gas-only Wilderness without sacrificing all-wheel-drive capability.
