Los Angeles – October 03, 2026 -- Govee, which it calls the No. 1 brand for household permanent outdoor lights in the U.S., has launched a nationwide Halloween campaign titled "Turn Up the Spooky. Slay Halloween." starring actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The campaign's TV commercial shows Govee Outdoor Lights transforming a typical home into a cinematic Halloween setting, using color and lighting effects to build after-dark atmosphere.
Gellar Shares Her Own Approach to Outdoor Decorating
Rather than lighting up an entire exterior, Gellar recommends focusing on one feature, such as a roofline, tree or front facade. "Leaving some areas darker will make the lit areas feel more dramatic," she says.
Govee's outdoor lighting lineup includes Permanent Outdoor Lights for defining a home's architecture, plus String Lights, Light Bulbs, Wall Lights and Pathway Lights for porches, trees, entrances and walkways. The company says the same setup can be reused for other holidays and everyday outdoor ambiance throughout the year.
AI Tools Let Users Design Lighting With a Text Prompt
Govee's DreamView feature lets multiple lights work together as one synchronized system, coordinating colors and effects across a property and syncing with music.
The company's AI Lighting Bot 2.0 accepts text, voice and image inputs, allowing multi-turn conversations so users can describe, refine and personalize a lighting scheme. A prompt like "moonlit and mysterious" or "playful and family friendly" can serve as the starting point for a custom Halloween display.
"Turn Up the Spooky. Slay Halloween." is rolling out nationwide now.
