Buena Park, Calif. – September 18, 2026 -- Yamaha has unveiled the B200A, a 23.5-inch Dolby Atmos sound bar aimed at bedrooms, apartments, home offices and gaming setups where space is tight. The compact bar will cost $249.95 and hits shelves in November 2026.
The B200A squeezes 3D audio into a small footprint
Yamaha combined Dolby Atmos with its Hi-Fi engineering background to build an audio field around listeners rather than just projecting sound forward. A built-in subwoofer handles low-end output, and a Bass Extension mode adds extra punch for movies and games without requiring a separate subwoofer unit.
"The B200A was designed for people who want better sound without giving up valuable space," said Alex Sadeghian, Yamaha's director of consumer audio. He said the bar targets bedrooms, apartments, home offices and gaming setups where users want immersive sound in a simple, everyday package.
Four sound modes and Clear Voice technology adjust to what's on screen
The B200A includes Movie, Standard, Stereo and Game sound profiles, letting users tailor audio to what they're watching or playing. Clear Voice technology sharpens dialogue clarity, addressing a common complaint with slim sound bars where speech can get buried under effects.
Connectivity covers HDMI eARC/ARC, optical, AUX and Bluetooth
The sound bar connects via HDMI eARC/ARC, optical cable, 3.5mm AUX or Bluetooth wireless streaming, giving it compatibility with TVs, monitors and older AV setups alike. Its design allows placement beneath a television or monitor, on a desk or media console, or wall-mounted using built-in keyholes.
The B200A follows Yamaha's SR-C20A sound bar, extending the company's compact lineup with what it calls the next evolution of that product line.
