Reno – October 28, 2026 -- ZLINE Kitchen and Bath's 36-inch Paramount Induction Range (model SINR36) has been named a winner in Good Housekeeping's 2027 Kitchen Awards. The freestanding stainless steel range combines a five-element induction cooktop with a 5.2 cu. ft. electric convection oven.
The glass cooktop is rated 7.5 on the Mohs scale
The range's defining feature is a nanotechnology-reinforced, anti-scratch glass surface. ZLINE says the glass is harder than quartz and comparable to high-carbon steel, so it stands up to heavy cookware. An anti-glare matte coating cuts reflections from overhead lighting and resists fingerprints and oil buildup, which makes cleanup easier.
Five induction elements heat cookware directly
Unlike traditional gas or electric cooktops, induction heats the pan itself. ZLINE says this gives instant response, rapid boiling and searing, and better safety and energy efficiency.
The cooktop offers nine cooking levels, from gentle simmering to heavy frying. A Power Boost function adds extra heat for fast boiling and flash searing. A bridge function links two elements into one zone for larger cookware such as roasting pans and griddles.
The oven adds high-speed convection fans and halogen lighting
Below the cooktop, the range carries over the design of ZLINE's Paramount Series induction and dual-fuel models. It has electric convection cooking with high-speed fans, halogen interior lighting and digital thermostat technology for faster preheating. Dual smooth-glide racks and a triple-layer insulated glass door round out the oven, and a Horizon-style window lets cooks check on baking without opening the door.
Mason Watkins, ZLINE's Senior Director of Marketing, said the design started with questions about how people actually cook, including where glare falls and what happens when a heavy pan slides across the surface.
Experts tested products for months, with 640 home testers
Now in its sixth year, the Kitchen Awards are run by the Good Housekeeping Institute. Its appliance analysts, trained cooks, recipe developers and nutritionists spent months testing new and best-selling products. Analysts evaluated them in the GH Labs and test kitchens, and samples also went to more than 640 consumer testers to use at home. Winners were chosen on quality, performance, value, usefulness and, where applicable, taste.
