Dyson Launches First Hot Air Brush: The Airsmooth, Priced at €249

Cologne – September 10, 2026 -- Dyson has unveiled its first hot air styling brush, the Dyson Airsmooth, set to go on sale September 8 for 249 euros (RRP) through Dyson Stores, dyson.de, and select retailers.

The device combines Dyson's airflow technology with a patented dual bristle system designed to dry, smooth, and add volume in a single step, aiming to reduce the mechanical damage, dryness, and breakage common with traditional hot air brushes.

Three bristle types work together to protect hair strands

Anti-Snag bristles use a flexible loop structure to glide through hair and release strands easily, cutting down on tangling. PivotFlex bristles, shaped conically and able to bend up to 90 degrees, direct airflow precisely to reduce frizz and snagging during styling. Anti-Frizz bristles, shaped like a teardrop, stretch curls and smooth lengths while maintaining tension in one motion.

The brush checks its own temperature 100 times per second

An intelligent temperature control system monitors heat levels 100 times per second, according to Dyson, intended to keep styling sessions controlled and gentler on hair strands.

The tool works across all hair types and travels easily

Dyson built the Airsmooth to work on straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair alike. It runs on universal voltage, making it usable for travel, gym bags, or weekend trips, and was designed to be lightweight for all hair lengths.

Dyson pairs the brush with a leave-in conditioning spray

The company recommends using the Airsmooth alongside its Omega Leave-in Conditioning Spray, formulated with seven omega oils -- including sunflower oil sourced from Dyson's own fields in Lincolnshire. The spray is designed to nourish, detangle, and smooth hair while protecting against heat and UV damage.

The Airsmooth follows a line of Dyson styling tools that began with the Supersonic hair dryer in 2016 and the original Airwrap in 2018, later expanded with the Bluetooth-connected Airwrap i.d., the Airstrait wet-to-dry straightener, and the Airwrap Co-anda2x.
