Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- The Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA), one of the world's largest consumer electronics trade shows, ran at Messe Berlin from September 4 to 8, 2026, and served as the stage for this year's Global Product Technology Innovation Awards (GPTIAwards).
The GPTIAwards, created in 2014 by the International Data Group (IDG) and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), are held annually under IFA's support. Organizers screen thousands of international brands each year to identify standout innovations across the consumer electronics sector.
Major global brands dominate this year's winners list
Winners span dozens of countries and include Midea, Siemens, TCL, Miele, BOE, Liebherr, Samsung, Sony, LG, Ecovacs, Cecotec, Tineco, Dyson, Tecno, JBL, Segway, SanDisk, Zendure, Jura, Navimow, Maniformer, Nelko, CHiQ, HKC, NEURA Robotics, AEG and Koorui. Categories covered range from air conditioning and connected kitchens to AI-driven robotics, displays, smart storage, mobility and augmented reality glasses.
Midea sweeps top prizes across its appliance lineup
Midea took multiple gold awards, including for its VitaBreeze split air conditioner, the AI Breeze-Free floor unit, a dual-duct concealed air handling unit, and the Trueheat Max air-to-water heat pump. Its SpaceMaster built-in oven and steam oven also each won gold in their respective cooking technology categories.
TCL and BOE lead in audiovisual and display technology
TCL picked up golds for its Q95K 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar, a solar-cooling air conditioner, the TwinMag Prime Fresh refrigerator series, and the heyAiMe family companion robot. Its RayNeo GT Max AR glasses and TCL CSOT's 27-inch OLED UHD 120Hz display also won gold. BOE's next-generation wide-color-gamut AMOLED display took the display technology gold for image quality, eye comfort and low power consumption.
Robotics and mobility brands also take top honors
Segway won golds for its eKickScooter Ninebot MAX G3 Pro (long-range riding) and eKickScooter ZT3 MAX (off-road performance). Ecovacs was recognized for its WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI window-cleaning robot and T1000 4WD Pro mowing robot, while Tineco's FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Boost Steam floor washer won gold for indoor cleaning technology. Tecno's Tonino Lamborghini TAURUS mini gaming PC and its modular magnetic phone also earned gold awards. CHiQ was named AI-based smart home ecosystem brand of the year.
According to official customs statistics cited in the announcement, Chinese household appliance exports reached 360.96 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, with connected and eco-friendly products accounting for a growing share.
