Frederick, Md. – October 15, 2026 -- Frederick County parents of neurodivergent children now have a new link to specialized tutoring: the Parent Resource Center and LINKZ have partnered to connect local families with educational resources and support.
Downtown hub meets specialized tutoring
The Parent Resource Center, located in downtown Frederick, serves as a hub for parents of neurodivergent learners. It connects families with community partners, resources, events and support.
LINKZ offers personalized educational services. These include specialized tutoring for students with learning differences, dyslexia and ADHD, plus executive functioning support and other academic services.
Local demand brought LINKZ to Frederick
LINKZ previously served Frederick County families from outside the county. Growing demand from local parents who were making the trip for its services helped pave the way for a Frederick location, bringing the services closer to the families who needed them.
The new partnership builds on that local presence by strengthening connections between families and organizations focused on helping children and parents.
Founders say the goal is easier connections
Ashley VanCleef, founder of Parent Resource Center and Law For Parents, said parents often know their child needs extra support but are unsure where to turn. She said the center's mission is to make those connections easier, and that working with LINKZ brings specialized services closer to Frederick County families.
Jake Ferentz, Director and CEO of LINKZ, said families looking for resources often face confusion and overwhelm. The partnership, he said, makes it easy to send families to a trusted and knowledgeable organization.
A broader pattern of local partnerships
The collaboration also reflects what the announcement describes as Frederick County's culture of partnership, in which businesses and community organizations work together to respond to local needs.
