Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Haier, the world's No. 1 major appliance brand for 17 consecutive years according to Euromonitor International, showcased an AI-driven connected home ecosystem at IFA 2026, spanning laundry, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment, digital services and robotics.
Cameras and sensors let appliances adjust in real time
The Vision 15 washing machine uses a built-in camera, sensors and algorithms to detect load size, balance and foam levels, then automatically adjusts water levels, detergent dosing, drum movement and program settings. The Maestro refrigeration prototype's AI Food Care System 2.0 identifies stored ingredients and recommends storage conditions. The ID Ultimate Series 6 oven uses its own camera to identify food, track cooking progress and stop a program once the desired result is reached. In the living room, UltraSense AI adjusts picture and sound on Haier's smart TVs based on content and ambient conditions.
The hOn app ties devices into a single digital environment
Haier Europe's hOn app connects its products, services and home experiences into one platform, aiming to fold connected technology into daily routines. Haier Smart Home was named the world's top connected home company by Euromonitor International based on 2025 global revenue in the category. The company's home platform has surpassed 130 million registered users worldwide and logged 86.1 billion connected-scenario interactions in 2025.
Humanoid robots and an exoskeleton extend AI beyond appliances
Haier's IFA display included humanoid robots interacting with appliances, robotic cleaning systems designed to recognize objects and different types of dirt, and companion robots built for voice assistance and personalized support. A Haier exoskeleton uses sensors and algorithms to read a user's movement intentions in real time and adjust the assistance it provides, aiming to support mobility while preserving natural movement.
Haier plans to invest at least €13 billion over five years
The technology lineup draws on Haier's "10+N" open innovation system, which links global research resources with local user needs. In the first half of 2026, Haier ranked first for the 15th consecutive time in IPRdaily's global patent ranking for connected homes. The company plans to invest at least €13 billion over the next five years in core technologies including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and IoT security. Haier's IFA presence also highlighted international sports partnerships under the slogan "Play with the Number Ones." Visitors can view the technologies at Hall 3.1, Stand 101, during IFA 2026 in Berlin, running from September 4 to 8.
