Midea's VitaBreeze AC Lets You Aim Cool Air Room by Room

Berlin – – September 10, 2026 -- Midea has unveiled VitaBreeze, a new home air conditioning system that lets users direct airflow to specific spots in a room via smartphone, with a global preview set for IFA 2026 and a European retail launch planned for early 2027.

The system maps rooms to control airflow direction

VitaBreeze uses what Midea calls AirGrid Intelligence, which creates a digital layout of a room so users can visually steer air currents from their phone -- toward a yoga mat, for instance, or away from a couch.

A wider diffusion angle aims to eliminate cold drafts

The unit's Breezeless Pro Evolution technology increases the air outlet surface by 30% compared to previous Midea designs, pushing air through strategically placed micro-perforations to create multidirectional breezes instead of a single direct blast. Midea says this delivers full cooling power as soon as the unit turns on, without the harsh draft typical of standard AC units.

A wide-angle diffusion mode is paired with people-detection sensors, allowing the airflow to either follow or avoid occupants based on their settings.

Humidity control won't drop the room temperature

Midea's ClimaBalance feature targets a common complaint with dehumidifiers: unwanted temperature drops. The system is designed to strip excess moisture from the air -- useful for keeping children's rooms comfortable during rainy-day dehumidification -- while holding the thermostat steady.

An efficiency algorithm makes small, constant adjustments

ECOMASTER 2.0, built on a patented Midea algorithm, is described as a predictive climate system that adapts to current and forecasted conditions through proactive micro-adjustments, aiming to cut small-scale energy losses across the unit's operation.

Midea says VitaBreeze's design -- clean lines and a minimalist finish -- was shaped specifically to match European home interiors. The system will make its public debut at IFA 2026 before arriving in European households in early 2027.
