NEW YORK – October 21, 2026 -- Hip-hop manager and author Sophia Chang's new podcast, The Baddest Bitch in the Room, is available now on the SiriusXM app and all major podcast platforms, with new episodes every Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET.
The show is part of SiriusXM's Women's Empowerment Network
The podcast sits inside SiriusXM's Women's Empowerment Network (WEN), which launched in December 2024. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and SiriusXM Urban View host Karen Hunter executive produces the network, which focuses on conversations about personal growth, careers and culture.
Chang will cover confidence, relationships and careers
Chang, widely known as the first Asian woman in hip-hop, managed Wu-Tang Clan members RZA, GZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard. Her client list also included D'Angelo, Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest.
On the show, she offers insights and strategies on confidence, relationships, careers, personal growth and self-discovery. She draws on her decades in hip-hop, martial arts and Buddhism. Her guiding philosophy is that "confidence is queen, agency is apex, and pleasure is paramount."
Chang will talk with experts in culture, media, sex, law, feminism and the social sciences.
Chang wants listeners to feel like guests at her dinner table
Chang says she considered a podcast for more than a decade but waited for the right home until Hunter made her an offer. She wants listeners to feel as if they are at one of her raucous dinner parties or sitting quietly on her sofa with a cup of tea.
Hunter calls Chang an icon who has always been on the cutting edge of culture. She says WEN aims to be a trustworthy voice of truth.
Chang runs two mentorship programs and is writing a new book
Chang founded Unlock Her Potential, a non-profit offering free mentorship for women of color. She is also Executive Director of ImpactMENtorship, a mentorship initiative for men of color founded by Joey Bada$$.
Her bestselling memoir shares the podcast's title, The Baddest Bitch in the Room. She is now writing a book about dating, sex and pleasure for women.
