A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics, a one-night-only Candlelight concert presented by Fever, starts at 9 p.m. on October 31.

Thriller and Psycho get a string-quartet makeover

The Highline String Quartet will reimagine music from classical works, film, television and pop culture. The program includes Michael Jackson's Thriller, Bernard Herrmann's Psycho, the theme from Stranger Things and music from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre and Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain round out the set.

MIAMI BEACH – October 29, 2026 -- Fontainebleau Miami Beach is selling tickets to its New Year's Eve celebration on Thursday, December 31, starting at $200 for an adults-only party with GRAMMY-winning DJ David Guetta and $375 for a new family-friendly event for guests ages 11 and older.

Guetta runs the countdown inside Sparkle Theatre

The resort is splitting its annual celebration into two experiences this year. Guetta moves indoors to the Sparkle Theatre for a 21-and-over party that runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and ends with a live countdown to midnight.

General admission starts at $200 through a limited early bird offer and includes a premium open bar all evening. Reserved tables add dedicated seating, bottle service, small bites and beverages.

Munich/Leipzig – October 29, 2026 -- The 32nd José Carreras Gala airs live from Leipzig on Wednesday, December 16, at 8:15 p.m. on MDR, HR and SWR, with a parallel livestream in the ARD Mediathek. It is the first time three ARD broadcasters have carried the charity event together.

Carreras turns 80 on December 5

The tenor and foundation founder celebrates his 80th birthday on December 5, and the organizers say the performers backing him this year are the best present. The gala raises money for the fight against leukemia and related diseases. Hosts Stephanie Müller-Spirra and Sven Lorig, both foundation ambassadors, return to present the show alongside Carreras.

Cologne – October 29, 2026 -- The WDR Funkhausorchester will play around 50 concerts across the Lippe district from November 9 to 14, 2026, and the concerts at host venues are free. Under the banner "Deine Region – dein Orchester!", the orchestra brings seven formats to daycare centers, schools, senior facilities, companies and unconventional venues.

Hosts who applied turn community spaces into concert halls

The project began in spring with a call for applications. Host venues now include community centers and school auditoriums that are being cleared for the occasion, churches that become concert halls, and a municipal theater opening its doors. SAN DIEGO – October 29, 2026 -- DJ and producer Sam Feldt headlines Heaven & Hell on Saturday, October 31, a limited-capacity Halloween party that gives guests an early look inside The Quin, the new venue reimagining the former FLUXX space in the Gaslamp Quarter.

At a classic concert, the edge of the stage separates musicians from visitors. At medieval markets, Bierschmeichler removes that line. Because the band plays acoustic instruments, the sound does not come only from loudspeakers but arises right among the listeners.

The effect is strongest on singalong choruses: people who hear voices next to them are more likely to join in. The musicians also see immediately how the crowd reacts to each song. For Caspar Bierschmeichler, this give-and-take is part of the character of tavern folk.

Shanghai – – October 18, 2026 -- The second edition of The Magic of Tomorrowland in China sold out two nights at Hero Dome, with Axwell headlining day one and Tiësto closing day two.

The festival ran in INS SEA, a newly developed waterfront destination in Shanghai's western Huangpu district. Tomorrowland staged it with Hero Esports, INS LAND and Budweiser, turning the purpose-built indoor venue into a two-day electronic music event for thousands of visitors.

An 88-metre stage and 72 moving ceiling screens surrounded the crowd

The scenography was built entirely locally. Organisers say the production followed local safety requirements and included sustainability in its planning.
