Los Angeles – October 04, 2026 -- The General Insurance has launched a nationwide sweepstakes offering one winner a fully restored, drivable replica of the iconic Street Fighter car plus a cash prize of $25,400.69. Entries are open now through November 18, 2026.
The build debuted live at ComplexCon in Los Angeles
The vehicle, unveiled at the pop culture convention, recreates the pixelated car players have smashed on screen for decades. The design includes custom pixel-patterned upholstery, new leather seats, upgraded speakers and a coin-slot change holder that doubles as a seat warmer.
Hollywood builder Dennis McCarthy led the restoration
McCarthy, known for his work on the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, and his company Vehicle Effects handled the build, documenting each step. 'Street Fighter fans know this car the second they see it, so we wanted to get every detail right while making it something you could actually drive,' McCarthy said.
The campaign ties into The General's insurance pitch
Chauncey Citchens, director of marketing at The General, said the project reflects the brand's belief that drivers with past accidents, lapses in coverage or late payments deserve a second chance at affordable insurance, just as the battered video game car got a fresh start.
The promotion links to a new ad campaign featuring WWE's Roman Reigns
The General's broader 'Street Fighter' campaign features WWE Superstar and actor Joe 'Roman Reigns' Anoa'i playing the character Akuma, continuing the brand's pattern of marketing tie-ins with WWE and other fan-driven properties.
Entry rules carry strict eligibility limits
The sweepstakes runs from 8 a.m. CT on October 3, 2026, to 11:59:59 p.m. CT on November 18, 2026, with one entry per person and no purchase necessary. U.S. legal residents of the age of majority with a valid driver's license may enter, though the contest is void in Alaska, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Washington, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories. The approximate retail value of the prize is $69,716, and the promotion is sponsored by Fooji, Inc. of Lexington, Kentucky.
