El Monte, Calif. – September 18, 2026 -- Addmotor has introduced its 2026 electric trike lineup, featuring the Freetan semi-recumbent series, the UTrike tilting series, and the Freetri folding e-trike, expanding the company's range of three-wheel electric vehicles sold in the U.S.
The Freetan pairs full suspension with a reclining seat for extended comfort
Built on a 6061 aluminum alloy frame, the Freetan uses a 750W rear-drive motor with the company's EB2.0 control system and a torque sensor, powered by a 48V 20Ah Xuanwu battery. An 80mm front fork and dual rear shocks absorb road impacts, while the backrest reclines between 90 and 170 degrees. The design targets seniors, riders recovering from surgery or limited joint mobility, desk workers with back strain, and fitness-focused cyclists.
A Turbo variant with a mid-drive motor arrives in November 2026
The Freetan Turbo keeps the same frame, suspension and battery but swaps in a 750W mid-drive motor producing 150Nm of torque, aimed at hill climbing and heavier loads. It also adds a 3-inch integrated wheel design for added rigidity, targeting commuters, touring riders and those wanting more power from the platform.
The Freetri folds the Freetan's recumbent posture into a compact frame
Introduced on August 20, 2026, the Freetri applies the Freetan's ergonomic geometry to a folding chassis suited for apartment storage, car transport and urban commuting.
The UTrike U-750 lets riders lean into corners like a bicycle
A pivot axle connects the front and rear chassis, letting the front wheel tilt while the rear wheels stay fixed. A locking mechanism switches between a rigid, upright "Fixed Mode" for beginners and commuters, and a leaning "Tilting Mode" for more dynamic handling. The trike runs a 750W rear-drive motor with a torque sensor, a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery pack, 20-by-4-inch fat tires, triple disc brakes with a parking brake, and a 450-pound payload capacity.

Available now, the UTrike U-710 carries over the U-750's tilting mechanism and dual-mode dynamics but adds a folding frame and 3-inch tires, aimed at apartment dwellers, RV travelers and urban commuters.
