Lancia Wins the Icon Design Trophy at the Prisa Motor Awards

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – The New Lancia Ypsilon, the first car of the new era of the brand manufactured at the Spanish plant of Saragoza, triumphed yesterday at the second edition of the Prisa Motor Awards, a prestigious annual gathering organized by one of Spain’s most important media groups, which includes, among others, the daily paper El País and the Cadena SER radio network. The prize ceremony was held at the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela racecourse in Madrid, and Olivier Quilichini, Stellantis Premium Cluster Director for Spain and Portugal, received the award from Dani García, editor of Icon, the Grupo Prisa design, lifestyle, and men’s fashion magazine and website.

130 Lancia Deltas in Turin with Miki Biasion

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – Last Sunday, 130 Lancia Deltas paraded through the streets of Turin for the 2024 edition of “Amiki Miei,” the private initiative founded in 2008, based on Miki Biasion’s passion and dedication to the Lancia brand's fans. Held every other year, the meeting included a route through the streets of the birthplace of the Lancia brand, starting from Piazza San Carlo, with a stop at the Parco del Valentino during the Turin Motor Show and arriving at the Heritage Hub.

Biasion is the most successful Italian driver of all times who, by taking the Martini Racing team’s iconic Delta to victory in the 1988 and 1989 World Championships, contributed to making Lancia the most successful brand of all times. The new Lancia Ypsilon, the first car in the brand’s new era, led the parade of vintage cars through the streets of Turin.

Lancia Opens its First Showrooms in Paris and Barcelona

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – Following Lancia’s official return to France and Spain, today the brand announces the opening of its first showrooms in Paris and Barcelona, two of the major European cities where the brand’s future customers are based.

In 2025, Lancia will have a network of 25 showrooms and 80 after-sales service points in France, while in Spain there will be 20 and 55, respectively.

From October 2024, New Lancia Ypsilon will be available in France and Spain in electric and hybrid versions, with a comprehensive, versatile, and efficient line-up, consisting of three trim levels for three different types of customer.

In line with Lancia's internationalization process, following Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, now is the time for the brand to return to France and Spain with the introduction of the New Lancia Ypsilon, continuing the brand’s relaunch plan in Europe.

BMW of North America Announces Executive Changes

Tom Shanley will assume the role of Vice President, Eastern Region succeeding Aksel Krieger, who moves to BMW Group Financial Services North America to become Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Martin Fritsches moves to BMW of North America as Vice President, Western Region from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America, succeeding Shanley.

In this role Alini will lead all aspects of marketing, product planning, and strategy development for the MINI brand in the United States, reporting to Mike Peyton, Vice President, MINI of the Americas. Alini succeeds Patrick McKenna who is retiring following a storied 27-year career with the company.

BMW Group Financial Services North America Announces Executive Changes

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – BMW Group Financial Services North America today announced that Aksel Krieger will assume the role of Vice President, Sales and Marketing, succeeding Charles Silva who will leave the company at the end of November after 32 years of service.

Krieger joins the BMW Group Financial Services organization from BMW of North America where he was the Vice President of the company's Eastern Region operations since 2022. Over the past 24 years, Krieger has held various positions across the BMW Group in several markets including Brazil, Germany, South Africa, China, and the U.S.

Abarth Vehicles Now Eligible for Certificate of Origin

Owners of Abarth vehicles can request a Certificate of Origin, a detailed report on the car’s production characteristics obtained via its chassis number, by simply filling out the online form on Heritage’s website.

Issued by the Stellantis Heritage’s Abarth Classiche department, the special certificate confers cultural and historical value to its “youngtimers”.
