SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 6, 2024 – BMW, Ford and Honda have begun operations of the new joint venture that they announced last year and have appointed the first CEO and CTO. ChargeScape is a software platform that integrates electric vehicles (EVs) into the power grid, shoring up grid stability while saving drivers money on their charging.

The announcement underscores that automakers remain committed to EVs – including plug-in hybrids – and are focused on reducing the total cost of ownership for their customers.

Kirkwood’s pole effort in his #27 Andretti Global Honda came at the same track where he scored his second career INDYCAR win a year ago, albeit on a temporary street circuit surrounding the Tennessee Titans’ Nissan Stadium, rather than on the 1.33-mile oval where the series is competing this weekend.

Two Meyer Shank Racing Hondas also qualified well for Sunday’s season finale. Felix Rosenqvist qualified third in his #60 AutoNation/SiriusXM Honda, with teammate David Malukas sixth in the #18 HMD Honda.

Mapping Road Acoustics for Targeted Action

The collaboration will leverage Renault Group's innovative Apache2 technology to create the first-ever detailed map of road acoustics in the Île-de-France region. Around thirty Megane E-Tech electric vehicles, equipped with sensors and the Apache device, will measure noise levels on the roads they travel over a two-year period.
