Uber Drivers Can Now Earn Up to 3.25% APY Through New Savings Tool

Tampa – October 01, 2026 -- Branch, a provider of embedded financial services, has launched High Yield Savings, letting Uber drivers and couriers earn up to 3.25% APY on money they set aside directly within the Uber Pro Card app.

Workers earn the top rate by keeping a $500 average daily balance

Unlike many high-yield savings products that require monthly direct deposits or card-spending minimums, Branch's tool only asks users to maintain an average daily balance of $500 or more to access the top rate. There are no fees and no minimum balance required to open an account, so savings start accruing immediately.

The tool targets hourly, tipped, and 1099 workers with unpredictable income

Branch designed High Yield Savings for workers whose earnings fluctuate, a group often excluded from typical savings products tied to steady paychecks. Users can withdraw funds at any time, generally without transfer fees, and can schedule automatic contributions daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Interest accrues and pays out monthly.

Uber Pro Card holders get first access before wider rollout

High Yield Savings debuts exclusively for Uber Pro Card holders before expanding to the broader Branch App and other Branch-powered applications. Karan Chawla, Uber's Director of Financial Services, said the Uber Pro Card is built to give drivers and couriers financial tools suited to how they earn, and that High Yield Savings adds another way for them to work toward their financial goals.

Branch frames the feature as part of a broader financial infrastructure push

Branch founder and CEO Atif Siddiqi said the company's goal has long been helping working Americans grow financially, and that High Yield Savings offers a competitive rate that variable-income workers can actually use. Branch is not a bank; banking services are provided by Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, through the Branch Card and Uber Pro Card.
