Martin Guitar Debuts First O'ahu Ukulele and All-Koa Guitar

Nazareth, Pa. – October 06, 2026 -- C. F. Martin & Co. is adding two new instruments and a set of ukulele strings to its Martin O'ahu collection, a line inspired by the Hawaiian music craze of the 1920s and early '30s.

An all-koa guitar joins the lineup at $4,199.99

The Martin O'ahu HG-28K2 expands on the existing HG-28's sloped-shoulder design, pairing a solid koa top with solid flamed Hawaiian koa back and sides. The body shape sits between a smaller Dreadnought and a 000, with a short 24.9-inch scale meant for easier playability. The gloss finish highlights the wood's natural figuring, and Martin says the all-koa build delivers strong midrange projection and rich overtones.

The first Martin O'ahu ukulele costs $899.99

The Martin O'ahu TKE Uke Burst marks the family's first ukulele. It uses a tenor body—the largest ukulele size Martin produces—with a solid spruce burst top and solid koa back and sides. The instrument includes Mi-Si Simple Jack electronics, a battery-free preamp that charges in 60 seconds for up to 16 hours of use. It ships with a gloss body, satin neck, antique white binding, nickel open-gear tuners, and a softshell case.

New strings add a silver-wound Low G for $9.99

Martin O'ahu Low G Ukulele Strings, included on the TKE Uke Burst, combine Polygut material with a silver-wound Low G string for added depth and resonance. Martin designed the set for both strumming and picking, aiming for tuning stability and consistent tone across registers.

All three products launch October 6, 2026

The HG-28K2, TKE Uke Burst, and Low G Ukulele Strings go on sale through authorized Martin dealers and at martinguitar.com.
