European Handball Federation Opens New Eco-Friendly Headquarters in Vienna

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – December 15, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Dec. 15, 2024 – The European Handball Federation (EHF) has inaugurated its new headquarters, the "European Handball House," in Vienna, Austria. The state-of-the-art facility will serve as a central hub for the development and promotion of handball across Europe.

A New Era for European Handball

The opening of the European Handball House marks a significant milestone for the EHF, providing a modern and collaborative workspace for the organization and its member federations. The building, located in Neu Marx in Vienna's third district, was officially opened on December 15th with a ceremony attended by over 400 guests.

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – December 15, 2024 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Dec. 15, 2024 – The European Handball Federation (EHF) has announced Norwegian center back Stine Oftedal Dahmke and Danish goalkeeper Emil Nielsen as the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) of the 2023/24 season at the EHF Excellence Awards 2024 held in Vienna.

The EHF Excellence Awards recognize outstanding achievements in handball, honoring both current players and legends of the sport. Oftedal Dahmke and Nielsen were selected from a shortlist of top contenders, including Chloé Valentini, Line Haugsted, Dika Mem, and Magnus Saugstrup. Their selection as MVPs follows their recognition in the 2023/24 "Team of the Season," where they were voted best center back and best goalkeeper, respectively.

The Danish Beachhandball Dream and GRD Leça - Spar Crowned Champions of the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup 2024

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – November 05, 2024-The new champions of the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup 2024 have been crowned, with The Danish Beachhandball Dream and GRD Leça - Spar taking home the coveted prize after dramatic shootouts.

The Danish Beachhandball Dream successfully defended their title in a thrilling match against CATS A.M. Team Almeria. Frida Nygaard Ulrichsen led her team to victory with an impressive 11 points, securing the prestigious trophy for Denmark once again.

In an equally intense bronze medal match, Black Lake Beach emerged victorious against GRD Leça - Love Tiles. Meike Kruijer, from the winning team, was named the tournament's most valuable player in the women's competition.
