Irvine, Calif. – September 15, 2026 -- Taco Bell is inviting everyday customers to compete against celebrities and pro athletes on a golf course, launching the inaugural Live Más Open at The Ranch at Laguna Beach on November 2.
Kevin Hart hosts a 36-player tournament built around wild-card challenges
The nine-hole event pairs qualifying fans with celebrities, pro athletes and creators across nine foursomes in a live draft format. Global superstar Kevin Hart, an avid golfer, is hosting the tournament, which Taco Bell describes as designed to "go off-script" from traditional tournament golf.
Fans can qualify for one of nine tournament spots through September 27
Starting September 10, eligible fans 21 and older can enter the Live Más Open Qualifier by playing the Shot Shuffle game at participating Topgolf venues nationwide, or through a free online entry at topgolf.com/livemas. Players scoring 200 points or more enter a sweepstakes; 100 randomly selected entrants receive a one-month Topgolf Platinum Club Membership and an invitation to submit a player bio and video. Taco Bell will then select nine finalists to travel to Laguna Beach and join the 36-player field.
Taco Bell is also distributing more than one million offer codes through Taco Bell Rewards, giving members $25 off a Topgolf reservation during the qualifying window while supplies last.
The winning team decides which discontinued menu item returns in 2027
On tournament day, teams will face original challenges before passing through an on-course drive-thru serving Live Más Open-exclusive food inspired by golf and country club fare. The winning foursome receives the first-ever Live Más Open trophy, purple jackets, and the power to bring back a Taco Bell menu item for a limited time nationwide in 2027.
"I love golf, I love Taco Bell, what could be better than bringing them together for a day of competition and fun," said Kevin Hart, host of the Live Más Open.
Topgolf CEO says the event opens the sport to newcomers
"Together with Taco Bell, we want everyone to feel like they can be part of the game, whether they're picking up a club for the first time or have been playing for years," said David McKillips, CEO at Topgolf.
Full coverage of the tournament, including highlights and the crowning of the first champions, will stream nationwide in November.
