WTT Returns: Pegula, Fritz, Shapovalov Headline Reimagined Tennis League

New York – September 14, 2026 -- World Team Tennis (WTT) tickets go on sale September 15 at 10am ET on WTT.com for the league's relaunched 47th season, featuring three city-based clubs stacked with top-ranked singles stars this December.

Three clubs draw from tennis's current elite

The Toronto North Racquet Club rosters Victoria Mboko, Leylah Fernandez, Denis Shapovalov, and Gabriel Diallo. New York Empire Racquet Club counters with Jessica Pegula, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Camila Osorio. The Florida Flamingos Racquet Club adds Learner Tien, Iva Jovic, and Tommy Paul, with the league set to name additional players in coming weeks.

Matches compress into a single high-stakes night

Each team match will run four singles sets -- Men's No. 1, Women's No. 1, Men's No. 2, and Women's No. 2 -- followed by a mixed doubles Supertiebreaker. Every club starts four players per match, two men and two women, with men's and women's results counting equally toward the team score. WTT CEO Stephen Amritraj said the format lets fans watch elite men and women compete across singles and mixed doubles in one night, representing their teams and cities.

Six matches span three arenas in December

Each club hosts two home matches during the season. Florida Flamingos face New York Empire at Barclays Center on December 1, followed by Toronto North versus New York Empire there on December 2. Play shifts to Coca-Cola Coliseum for New York Empire versus Toronto North on December 5 and Florida Flamingos versus Toronto North on December 6. The season closes at Amerant Bank Arena with Toronto North facing Florida Flamingos on December 14 and New York Empire facing Florida Flamingos on December 15.
