Coco Gauff Joins Florida Flamingos as Player-Owner for WTT Relaunch

NEW YORK – September 24, 2026 -- World Team Tennis (WTT) announced that Coco Gauff has joined the Florida Flamingos Racquet Club as both a player and an owner ahead of the league's December relaunch.

Gauff will play two home matches at Amerant Bank Arena.

She is slated to compete on Monday, December 14, and Tuesday, December 15, against Victoria Mboko of Toronto North and Jessica Pegula of the New York Empire, according to projected lineups.

Gauff says the team format offers a rare experience for tennis players.

"Growing the sport through team competition and making it more accessible are two things I love, and WTT does both," Gauff said, adding that she is looking forward to playing in front of family and friends in South Florida.

Gauff has deep ties to South Florida, where she grew up in Delray Beach.

Her community work there includes refurbishing the Pompey Park tennis courts in 2024 with the USTA's US Open Legacy Initiative and launching the Coco Delray shoe collaboration with New Balance in 2025, alongside ongoing efforts through the Coco Gauff Foundation.

The Florida Flamingos roster includes five other confirmed players.

Gauff joins teammates Tommy Paul, Learner Tien, Brandon Nakashima, Iva Jovic and Eva Lys. Other confirmed WTT participants across the league include Jessica Pegula, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Victoria Mboko, Leylah Fernandez and Denis Shapovalov.

WTT's December relaunch will feature eight players per match instead of the usual two.

Each match includes four singles sets and a mixed doubles Supertiebreaker, with men and women contributing equally to the result.
