Acer's New Googlebook 14 Syncs Android Phones With Gemini AI

Taipei – September 21, 2026 -- Acer has unveiled the Googlebook 14, a convertible laptop built around Google's Gemini Intelligence and designed to sync directly with Android phones, with North American pricing starting at $899.

The laptop lets phone tasks jump straight to the screen

A feature called "Continue On" allows tasks started on an Android phone to pick up seamlessly on the Googlebook 14, while "Cast My Apps" brings phone apps onto the laptop display without requiring any installation. Proactive suggestions offer context-aware help based on what's currently on screen.

Intel's newest chip powers the AI features

The device runs on up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355, which includes a neural processing unit delivering up to 50 TOPS. It pairs with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage, with a battery rated for up to 16 hours.

The chassis weighs just 1.14 kg

Built from an aluminum-magnesium blend in an Elemental Blue finish, the Googlebook 14 weighs 1.14 kg (2.51 lbs) and measures 13.9 mm thick. Its 14-inch 3K OLED touch display reaches 500 nits of brightness and supports a USI 2.0 stylus, while a "Glowbar" on the top cover changes color patterns to indicate battery and charging status. A 360-degree hinge enables four modes: clamshell, tent, stand, and tablet.

Security and connectivity get dedicated hardware

The laptop includes a fingerprint reader built into the power button and a Google Titan-C Security Chip for added protection. Connectivity comes via Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports.

Sustainability certifications back the build

Acer says the device uses 49% circular materials and 99% plastic-free packaging, earning an EPEAT Climate+ designation and Energy Star 9.0 certification.

Buyers get a year of Google's AI subscription

The Googlebook 14 ships with 12 months of Google AI Pro, unlocking expanded Gemini, Flow, and Gemini Notebook features plus 5 TB of cloud storage. James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer, called it a continuation of the company's 15-year alliance with Google on Chromebooks.

Regional pricing and launch dates differ

The Acer Googlebook 14 (GP714-91N) launches in North America in October 2026 starting at $899, in EMEA in October 2026 starting at €1,199, and in Australia in November 2026 starting at AUD 2,599.
