SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 18, 2025 - Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillmans Corner marks a new era in extended-stay travel
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened its first-ever Hyatt Studios property in Mobile, Alabama, ushering in a new chapter for the company’s extended-stay offerings. The launch of Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillmans Corner follows a successful soft opening earlier this year and was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Hyatt leaders, hotel partners, and local dignitaries.
A strategic move to meet rising demand
“The grand opening of Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillmans Corner marks an exciting milestone as we continue to expand our offerings to meet the growing demand for extended stay accommodations,” said Dan Hansen, global head of Hyatt Studios.
Situated in the Tillmans Corner area, the property is less than 10 miles from Mobile International Airport and conveniently close to downtown Mobile and Gulf Coast destinations. Its location serves both leisure and business travelers, with nearby access to manufacturing, aerospace, maritime, and healthcare hubs. Notable attractions include the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, GulfQuest National Maritime Museum, and Bellingrath Gardens.
Innovative design tailored for longer stays
“This is just the beginning for the Hyatt Studios brand as the brand demonstrates enthusiasm among hotel owners and developers for this brand. We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening with 3H Group and LBA Hospitality, whose dedication has brought the Hyatt Studios vision to life,” Hansen added.
The 122-suite property features apartment-style layouts equipped with kitchens that include a full-size refrigerator, built-in cooktop, dishwasher, and microwave with air fryer and convection settings. Each suite also offers a lounge area, multifunction table, and ample storage—elements purpose-built for longer stays.
Guest amenities include a 24/7 market, free grab-and-go breakfast, fitness studio, guest laundry, EV charging stations, and a welcoming outdoor patio complete with a firepit and grill. A unique borrows program allows guests to check out items for cooking, children, or pets. Free fiber internet is available throughout the property.
Pioneering partnerships power the project
“As the first developer to break ground on a Hyatt Studios hotel and now the first to open one, we’ve seen firsthand how this brand fills a critical gap in the extended stay space,” said Hiren Desai, president and CEO of 3H Group.
“The Hyatt Studios brand offers a smart, efficient design and a flexible operating model that resonates with both guests and owners. The brand’s focus on quality extended stay experiences, paired with Hyatt’s strong support and reputation, made it a compelling investment for us, and we’re excited to continue growing with additional Hyatt Studios projects in the future.”
The property was developed by 3H Group in collaboration with LBA Hospitality, which manages over 115 hotels across the southeastern United States.
Looking ahead to new markets
Following the Mobile debut, 3H Group is planning future Hyatt Studios developments in Huntsville, Alabama and Jacksonville, Florida. Other projects in partnership with Hyatt include a dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt Housein East Nashville, Tennessee, and a Caption by Hyatt in Chattanooga, which will be the brand’s first presence in that market.
