32,416 Students Honored by University of Phoenix for Academic Achievement

Phoenix – September 15, 2026 -- University of Phoenix recognized 32,416 students on its July 2026 President's and Dean's Lists, honoring adult learners who balanced coursework with jobs and family obligations.

President's List required a perfect 4.0 GPA

Of the honorees, 9,496 students earned President's List status by achieving a 4.0 grade point average, while 22,920 students were named to the Dean's Lists for high academic standing in their programs.

A Reddit giveaway drew 787 student submissions

As part of the recognition, University of Phoenix invited eligible students to join its subreddit and describe what mattered most about their educational journey. The giveaway generated 787 eligible entries, and 30 participants received University of Phoenix swag boxes.

Harcum College Honors 9/11 Victim With Theatre and $1.5M Scholarship Fund

Bryn Mawr -- As the world marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Harcum College is spotlighting how it has kept the memory of one victim, Kevin D. Marlo, alive through a campus theatre and a scholarship fund that has raised more than $1.5 million.

Marlo, a passionate actor connected to the Harcum community, died in the September 11 attacks. In the years after his death, his family worked with the college to restore and rename its Little Theatre in his honor, creating the Kevin D. Marlo Theatre on Harcum's Bryn Mawr campus near Philadelphia.

Medical School Prep Program Gets 35% Tuition Cut, Now $7,000

New York – September 11, 2026 -- The University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS) is cutting tuition for its Accelerated Review Program (ARP) by 35%, bringing the cost down to $7,000, effective May 2026.

The one-semester program prepares students for medical school in 15 weeks

ARP is designed to help students strengthen foundational science knowledge and build study strategies before entering the rigorous MD curriculum. Unlike post-baccalaureate or master's programs that can require one to two years of coursework without guaranteeing medical school admission, ARP is completed in a single 15-week semester.

TriStar Bank Funds New Community Room at Columbia State's Tech Center

Columbia – September 09, 2026 -- TriStar Bank has put its name on a new community space inside Columbia State Community College's Southern Regional Technology Center (SRTC), a three-story facility that opened in August with a ribbon-cutting celebration.

The Community Room offers flexible seating for study and meetings

CBU, Riverside County Launch ANCHOR Fellowship For Grad Students

SHERIDAN, WYOMING -- August 27, 2026 -- Nine graduate social work students in Riverside County, California, began working directly inside one of the region's largest public agencies this week after California Baptist University (CBU) and the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) launched the inaugural ANCHOR Fellowship on Aug. 26 with a blazer ceremony at CBU. The yearlong program places CBU graduate students in leadership assignments tied to DPSS programs, operations and services. DPSS serves more than 1 million county residents every year.
