AUBURN HILLS – October 30, 2026 -- Four racers will settle the Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Match on Saturday, Oct. 31, in race-modified, SIXPACK-powered Dodge Charger Scat Pack muscle cars at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The finals run between NHRA pro-class qualifying sessions at the Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals powered by Dodge.
Semifinal pairings are set
Roadkill Nights winner John O'Malley of Boosted Motorsports faces Texas builder Johnathan Rimbo in one semifinal. Adil Adams of Titan Motorsports meets California's Rob Dahm in the other.
Rimbo earned his spot with a 9.86-second run in September, the fastest time slip of the qualifier. Titan Motorsports, based in Orlando, Florida, qualified with a 10.42-second pass, and Dahm posted a 10.7-second run.
The contest began with eight builders on Woodward Avenue
The Grudge Match started with eight online automotive builders modifying, tuning and testing the 550-horsepower, twin-turbo Charger Scat Pack. In August, Tampa native O'Malley won the first phase at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan, beating Bryan Kiefer of Kies Motorsports in street-legal drag racing.
New for 2026, the season continues to Las Vegas. Three semifinalists earned their places with the quickest time slips from a local test-and-tune event, while O'Malley received an automatic bye.
Dodge CEO Matt McAlear will hand the winner the championship hardware. He said the racers pushed the car to the limit, with one cracking the 10-second barrier in the quarter-mile and two boosting output past 1,000 horsepower. "Dodge doesn't build cars to sit on the sidelines, we build them to compete," he said.
The winning car heads to the SEMA Show
The champion's Charger Scat Pack will be displayed in the Mopar exhibit in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the SEMA Show, Nov. 3-6.
The stock Scat Pack makes 550 horsepower
The 2027 Charger Scat Pack produces 550 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft. of torque. It reaches 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds. That is 65 horsepower and 56 lb.-ft. more than the prior 6.4L HEMI Scat Pack.
All-wheel drive is standard, with an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode that sends 100% of torque to the rear wheels at the push of a button. Twin 54mm Garrett GT2054 turbos spin up to 185,000 rpm with up to 30 psi of boost. Line Lock, Launch Control, dual-mode active exhaust, performance suspension and Brembo six-piston front calipers are also standard.
