The excitement officially kicked off in Le Mans as Team Peugeot TotalEnergies began their 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans week with a thrilling mix of public celebration and focused race preparation. From a fan-packed event downtown to intensive track testing, the PEUGEOT 9X8 impressed both on the streets and on the circuit.

An Electric Welcome in Le Mans

On Friday, the two PEUGEOT 9X8 race cars and their drivers took part in the traditional Scrutineering at Place de la République, drawing a large crowd for the required administrative and technical checks. The team also posed for an official group photo. Saturday afternoon brought even more excitement as Loïc Duval drove one of the PEUGEOT 9X8s through the streets of Le Mans, accompanied by 19 other race cars and thousands of cheering fans.

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies Showed Grit at Le Mans Despite Missing Hyperpole

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – At the 2025 edition of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, Team Peugeot TotalEnergies encountered a difficult start during qualifying, missing out on the Hyperpole session. However, the team approached the race weekend with resilience, unity, and a deep focus on strategy and preparation.

The two PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercars were classified 18th and 19th in qualifying, which meant they did not progress to the final Hyperpole shootout. Despite noticeable improvements since Free Practice, Stoffel Vandoorne (#94) and Jean-Eric Vergne (#93) clocked lap times of 3:25.240 and 3:25.494. Both drivers had laps deleted due to track limit violations, and a puncture forced Vergne to make a pit stop during the session.

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies remained motivated and focused on the race, which started on Saturday, June 14 at 4:00 PM in front of more than 300,000 spectators.
