Dallas – September 30, 2026 -- Avocados From Mexico is turning grocery runs into game-day perks with "Saturdays Start With Guac," a season-long campaign running through the college football championship game in January.
The brand, which calls itself the top-selling avocado brand in the U.S., is spreading the promotion across more than 1,600 college football games this season. The push includes a new 30-second ad called "The Sound That Starts Saturdays," which turns the chopping and mashing of guacamole prep into a marching band anthem, and a return as ESPN's halftime sponsor.
Fans can turn a $10 avocado purchase into Fanatics gear
Shoppers who spend $10 on Avocados From Mexico products between Oct. 19 and Jan. 15 can scan a QR code in stores or at scorewithguac.com, upload a receipt photo, and unlock a $10 Fanatics promo code plus a guac recipe. Separately, from Nov. 2 through Jan. 25, buyers of themed "Saturdays Start With Guac" bags can get $1.50 cash back through participating retailers.
According to Numerator shopper data cited by the company, average grocery basket size rises 47% when avocados are added during football season.
Weekly Instagram drops feed into a championship suite giveaway
Every Saturday through Nov. 21, the brand will post a new "Guac Drop" on its Instagram account, @avocadosfrommexico, offering prizes such as $100 Fanatics gift cards, a Nomad grill, guac-themed cornhole sets, and a wearable guacamole holder called the Guacket. Each weekly entry also counts toward a grand prize: a hosted suite experience at the college football championship game, with sweepstakes entries accepted directly at avocadosfrommexico.com/college-football through Dec. 4.
The Guac Box Suite expands to two locations for 2027
The campaign builds toward the Guac Box Suite, a branded, guacamole-themed hospitality suite for the championship game. After debuting last season, it returns in 2027 with two premium suites at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, site of the Jan. 25, 2027 championship. As the stadium's official avocado sponsor, the brand will also light up Allegiant Stadium's exterior LED screens and highway marquee from Jan. 22-24.
The brand is also running an eight-stop college sampling tour across Southeast campuses through Nov. 27, alongside partnerships with the University of Florida and the University of Georgia. Alvaro Luque, president and CEO of Avocados From Mexico, said the campaign aims to get avocados into shopping carts before the weekend so "the guac gets made before kickoff."
