The necklace detects eating without any typing or photos

The ODYSS N1 uses a G-sensor and contact sensors to detect when it's being worn, while a wide-angle camera captures visual food cues and hand-to-mouth movements to identify eating behavior in real time. Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- Lexar has unveiled the Muse Ultra-Slim Portable SSD, calling it the world's thinnest portable SSD, at IFA 2026 in Berlin as the company marks its 30th anniversary. The drive will launch in 512GB and 1TB capacities starting Q4 2026, with pricing and regional availability varying by market.

The Muse tapers to just 1mm at its edge

The card-like drive measures approximately 3.8mm at its thickest point, narrowing to 1mm at the edge, thanks to a precision-machined unibody metal enclosure formed from a single piece of metal. Inside, a custom ultra-thin PCB and high-density NAND stacking maximize space without sacrificing performance.

The drive attaches magnetically via Lexar's proprietary PogoPin connection and a supplied SnapLink Magnetic Cable, using a spring-loaded-pin interface and N52-grade neodymium magnets. A magnetic carry sleeve lets users mount the SSD directly to the back of compatible MagSafe iPhone models.

A shared belt lets users swap hip and knee support modules in seconds

The system centers on a wearable Exo-Belt that houses the battery, controller and algorithms. Using a MOLLE quick-release structure, wearers can attach the H module, the K module, or both at once, and swap between them by hand within seconds. Ascentiz-H supports hip movement for walking, climbing, running and faster movements, while Ascentiz-K offers Adaptive Knee Augmentation, providing dynamic knee support, active stabilization and load management on flat ground, stairs, and during ascents and descents. Both modules use what Ascentiz calls Adaptive Motion Intelligence to detect changing movement conditions and adjust support in real time within a user-selected mode.

The first 200 units, sold as the Origin Edition with a unique serial number, are available for pre-order starting at 2,299 EUR, with sales and phased deliveries beginning in November across the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom and China.

The frame moves with the body instead of against it. A continuous carbon-fiber structure runs from hip to lower leg, letting the four motorized joints share propulsion, weight support, descent control and landing cushioning. An adaptive Fish-Spine joint lets the hip motor track natural hip movement rather than a fixed axis, giving Halo up to 198 degrees of lateral range and 167 degrees of front-to-back motion.

Four motors work as one coordinated system

Halo is built on what Hypershell calls its Unified Architecture, a continuous carbon-fiber frame running from hip to lower leg that links four motorized hip and knee joints into a single system. CEO Kelvin Sun said the company redesigned the entire lower-body power system rather than simply adding motorized knees to an existing hip exoskeleton.

The HyperDrive Pro motor system delivers up to 1,490W of peak power across the leg. Each knee power unit weighs only 170 grams, using a magnesium-alloy housing to keep total weight down.
