Nestlé Plans Smooth Leadership Transition as Chairman Paul Bulcke Prepares to Step Down
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – A new chapter is on the horizon for Nestlé as the company announces a leadership succession plan that will see long-time Chairman Paul Bulcke step down in 2026, with Vice Chairman Pablo Isla proposed to take his place.

After nearly five decades with the company—including 14 years on the Executive Board, almost 9 years as CEO and 9 years as Chairman—Paul Bulcke has decided not to stand for re-election at Nestlé’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 16, 2026. The Board’s proposal of Pablo Isla as his successor aims to ensure a smooth transition and continued momentum for the global food and beverage giant.

Honoring a Legacy of Vision and Stability

Paul Bulcke joined Nestlé in 1979 and rose through the ranks to become a defining figure in its modern history. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2004, served as CEO from 2008 to 2016, and as Chairman since April 2017.

“Nestlé Chairman Paul Bulcke: ‘It has been a true privilege and a pleasure to be part of Nestlé's journey over so many years, providing me with enriching experiences and responsibilities, ultimately as Chair of the Board of Directors. I am confident that with Pablo Isla, Laurent Freixe as well as a strong Executive Team and Board of Directors, the Company is in trusted hands and will continue its promising growth and value creation journey. It is the right moment for me to dedicate more time to my family and to embrace my many other interests.’

Pablo Isla Nominated as Next Chairman

The Board of Directors has decided to propose Pablo Isla, currently Nestlé’s Vice Chairman, for election as Chairman at the 2026 AGM. Isla joined the company’s Board in 2018 and has served as Vice Chairman and Lead Independent Director since 2024. His experience leading global brands and his current committee roles within Nestlé make him a natural choice.

Nestlé Vice Chairman Pablo Isla: ‘I thank the Board for its confidence in proposing me as Chairman and look forward to working with Laurent Freixe for Nestlé's continued success. I am enthusiastic about taking on this new role, as I fully identify with Nestlé's Nutrition, Health and Wellness strategy and its Creating Shared Value approach to business.’

Previously, Isla was CEO of Inditex from 2005 to 2011 and Chairman and CEO of Inditex from 2011 to 2022, a period marked by global expansion and operational excellence.

A Confident Path Forward Under New Leadership

The leadership transition is reinforced by the presence of Laurent Freixe, who became CEO of Nestlé on September 1, 2024, and joined the Board of Directors in April 2025. His collaboration with Pablo Isla is expected to further strengthen the company’s strategic direction and commitment to innovation.

Nestlé CEO Laurent Freixe: ‘I am honored and excited to continue leading and accelerating Nestlé's performance and transformation. I thank Paul for the trust he gave me over many years, and I look forward to working with Pablo, the full Board, and the entire Nestlé team as well as all our stakeholders, as we pursue our strategy.’

What This Means for Consumers and Families

This transition signals Nestlé’s continued dedication to the principles that matter most to families and consumers: trust, continuity, and purpose. With a proven leadership team in place, the company remains focused on:

  • Advancing its Nutrition, Health and Wellness strategy
  • Delivering high-quality products that meet evolving needs
  • Driving sustainable value creation for generations to come

With a legacy of integrity and a forward-looking leadership team, Nestlé is set to continue its mission of enriching lives around the globe.

Goodyear Takes the Lead at 24h Nürburgring with Power, Purpose, and Performance

Goodyear Takes the Lead at 24h Nürburgring with Power, Purpose, and Performance
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – Goodyear is making headlines this weekend at the legendary ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, where nearly one-third of all competing teams are choosing its tires. With 45 of the 141 race entries riding on Goodyear rubber, the brand is set to deliver a strong performance at one of the world’s most demanding endurance races.

Held on a stunning 25-kilometer layout combining the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuits, the event is part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, placing it firmly on the international racing map. And in this high-pressure environment, Goodyear is rolling out both technology and heart.

Competing at the top across GT3 and GT4 classes

At the Nürburgring, teams are free to choose their tire partner — and Goodyear’s widespread selection speaks volumes. The brand will supply tires for top-tier GT3 entries in the SP9 class, supporting premium performance teams from:

  • Aston Martin
  • Audi
  • Mercedes-AMG
  • Lamborghini
  • Porsche customer teams

Goodyear is also represented in a wide range of GT4 cars, demonstrating the adaptability of its tires across multiple vehicle types and driving conditions.

Trusted partner for exclusive racing classes

Beyond open competition, Goodyear has been selected as the exclusive tire supplier for three key racing categories:

  • BMW M240i Cup
  • TCR Touring Cars
  • BMW 325i series

These exclusive roles reflect Goodyear’s ability to meet specialized performance demands while offering consistent, reliable tire support in the pitlane and paddock. More than 3,000 Goodyear racing tires will be on standby during the event.

Supporting racing with a mission

Some of the most heartwarming stories at the Nürburgring this year come from the pitlane — and Goodyear is right there to support them:

  • Four Motors’ Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, co-driven by German rapper Smudo, is a sustainability pioneer, running on bio-waste fuel and lightweight bio-fiber components.
  • The #13 White Angel for Fly and Help VW Beetle helps raise funds to build schools in Africa — an initiative Goodyear has proudly backed for three years.
  • A crowd-favorite Dacia Logan brings grassroots energy to the elite racing grid, reminding fans of the passion at the heart of motorsport.

These partnerships reflect Goodyear’s broader mission to support innovation, sustainability, and social impact.

Building momentum from Le Mans to the Nürburgring

Goodyear’s appearance in Germany follows its most successful 24 Hours of Le Mans to date, where the brand supported LMP2 and LMGT3 teams. The transition to the Nürburgring introduces even greater variability — from changing weather to extreme track conditions — demanding tire performance that’s both dynamic and durable.

This dual test of performance highlights the strength of Goodyear’s motorsport DNA across the world's most prestigious 24-hour races.

A legacy rooted in Nürburgring history

Goodyear’s relationship with the Nürburgring dates back to the 1970s, with victories in the first editions of the 24-hour race. The brand also made history in Formula 1 on the Nordschleife, securing five Grand Prix wins between 1966 and 1976 with icons like Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham, and James Hunt.

Today, Goodyear uses the circuit not just for racing but also for road tire development. Its Nordschleife-based development center tests and validates high-performance models like the Eagle F1 SuperSport, which is original equipment for elite cars including the Ferrari 12Cilindri and Porsche 911 GT2 RS and GT3 RS.

Goodyear’s race to road journey continues

Whether it's breaking records, supporting social good, or refining the tires on your next sports car, Goodyear’s role at the Nürburgring goes far beyond the track. It’s a celebration of innovation, endurance, and a love for the road — wherever it leads.

BMW’s Legendary Race Cars: How BMW NA Saved Its Priceless Motorsport Heritage

BMW’s Legendary Race Cars: How BMW NA Saved Its Priceless Motorsport Heritage
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – It all started with a shocking discovery in a dusty barn that changed the course of BMW’s racing legacy in North America forever. Today, BMW NA’s classic collection preserves some of the brand’s most iconic race cars, thanks to passionate individuals who knew these machines deserved more than to be forgotten.

A Barn Full of Forgotten Icons

In 1985, BMW NA’s new Motorsport Manager, Erik Wensberg, stumbled upon a hidden treasure trove. “I can recall the very day, because I’d only been with the company for about three months,” said Wensberg. “I was at Lime Rock and was told that our race team, DM Engineering, had a bunch of our stuff gathering dust in a barn next to their shop in Danbury, Connecticut. I had no idea what they were talking about, but I said I’d come up and see.”

“I opened the door of this barn, turned on the single light bulb hanging in the middle, and I was stunned. There’s the 320i Turbo with no wheels, sitting on the dirt floor. There’s the March M1/C, on its side. Two M1s, and a bunch of other stuff, wheels and boxes everywhere.” Wensberg discovered that the plan was to donate the entire lot to a trade school. “I said, ‘The hell it will! You lock this door and don’t open it until I tell you.’”

Back at headquarters, Wensberg told BMW’s Vice-President of Marketing, Hans Riedel, “Hans, this is a crime. All of our racing DNA is sitting in a pile of dirt in Connecticut, and they’re going to give it all away. We’ve got to restore these cars, bring them out, and show them as elements of pride in our history.”

Restoring the Cars That Defined BMW’s Racing DNA

With no restoration budget, Wensberg and Riedel got creative. “Riedel would bring me into every planning meeting where we were talking about a new production car and he’d say, ‘Erik, I think we need a vintage car here! What should we do?’ And I’d say, ‘Well, we could put the CSL there, but I need $45,000 to [have Jack Deren] restore it.’ ‘Okay, give Erik $45,000!’ We restored five or six cars one after another, and displayed them to great acclaim. We did a whole campaign with the enthusiast books, talking about a commitment to performance that dates back decades rather than months.”

Wensberg’s successor, Larry Koch, expanded the collection further. “The goal was to promote BMW performance and the M brand, and to show goodwill towards the BMW Car Club of America and various charities,” Koch said. “I added passenger seats to as many race cars as possible so we could provide rides, and I also started running the cars each year at the Monterey Historics, Lime Rock, and other vintage races, with the driver who drove the car when new if possible. We even took the March 86G and CSL to Goodwood, with Marc Surer and (then BMW NA CEO) Tom Purves driving in 2002 and 2003. It was all great fun, not ridiculously expensive, and it gained a lot of good press.”

Building a Legacy for Future Generations

After BMW NA’s racing hiatus in 2007, Koch shifted to preserving production cars. “After the 1996 BMW celebration at Monterey, I wrote a paper that basically said we should use BMW’s heritage to promote the brand, and to differentiate BMW from the Lexus/Infiniti/Acura brands that had no heritage,” Koch said. “A subsequent consumer survey showed that brand heritage was the third most important factor in BMW purchases at that time, so we embarked on a heritage campaign—you’ll notice references to it in the TV ads of the time. It was also very popular with the BMW CCA, whose members were great extensions of the brand.”

When Tom Plucinsky took over in 2012, he continued the mission with precision. “For me, it’s an honor and a privilege to be able to curate and preserve the heritage of BMW NA through the classic collection,” Plucinsky said. “When I took over in late 2012 the E92 M3 GT racing program was just ending, and I inherited all the assets,” he continued. “We finished the 2012 season with two good cars, but unfortunately the chassis with the most provenance (#1101) had been crashed mid-season, and once the tub was repaired, it had remained as the spare chassis. My first order of business was restoring #1101 back to its 2012 Sebring-winning specification and livery. I also had to negotiate with BMW Motorsport to keep a couple of sets of the proprietary aerodynamic wheels that were used for the long races.”

“My second task was to rebuild #901, which was the very first M3 GT2 built and the 2009 Team and Manufacturers Championship-winning car,” Plucinsky said. “Again, both Team Principal, Bobby Rahal and BMW Motorsport were very supportive, finding the early parts and devoting the time needed to restore that car.”

Preserving Icons, Telling BMW’s Story

Today, BMW Group Classic USA, under Plucinsky’s leadership, preserves both race and road cars—from the ALPINA XB7 that marked Spartanburg’s seven millionth vehicle to the legendary 2002tii that helped launch BMW in North America. “Today, the vehicles in the collection are used for a variety of communications initiatives,” Plucinsky said. “For example, last year was the launch of the new BMW M5 and M5 Touring, so examples of previous-generation M5s were in high demand for marketing and PR communications and events. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the BMW 3 Series, so both the street and racing versions of these cars are in high demand. Finally, for my favorite classic activation this year, BMW NA celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters on its 50th Anniversary, and what better way to cut the ribbon than with the model that started it all for BMW in North America: the BMW 2002tii!”

BMW’s Legendary Police Motorcycles: How the R 1100 RT-P Revolutionized Law Enforcement Riding

Submitted by newsonline24.c… on
BMW’s Legendary Police Motorcycles: How the R 1100 RT-P Revolutionized Law Enforcement Riding
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – For decades, BMW motorcycles have patrolled the roads of Europe and Asia, but their journey to becoming a mainstay of American police fleets was anything but smooth. Today, more than 3,500 BMW R 1250 RT-P motorcycles serve over 500 U.S. police agencies—thanks to innovation, persistence, and a game-changing deal with the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The First Foray and Early Challenges

BMW first attempted to break into the American police market in 1984, supplying 150 R 100 RT motorcycles to the San Francisco Police Department. While that initial program showed promise, BMW retreated after a liability lawsuit involving Kawasaki bikes cast a shadow over the authority motorcycle business.

A few years later, BMW returned with the K 75 model. But as Frank Stevens, then BMW Motorrad USA’s National Sales Manager, explained, “We did some test sales, but the K 75 was not an ideal police motorcycle because of its riding position, its saddlebag design and storage. It was expensive if you dropped it or fell over, because the protection system wasn’t very good.”

Winning Over the California Highway Patrol

Things began to change in 1994, when the CHP agreed to test 20 ABS-equipped BMW K 75 RT-Ps against their aging Kawasaki KZ1000Ps. The advanced anti-lock braking system impressed officers, even if statistical proof of its benefits proved elusive. Armed with feedback from this trial, BMW developed the R 1100 RT-P, adding key upgrades like:

  • Improved protection bars
  • A second battery with enhanced charging
  • An auxiliary fan to prevent overheating
  • Stable handling and tight-turn agility

But there was a catch: the R 1100 RT-P’s price tag of $15,828 was more than double that of a Kawasaki. To win the CHP contract, Stevens negotiated a creative buy-back agreement: “We didn’t want the liability of a lease, so we sold the motorcycles with a buy-back clause. California agreed to pay much more up front because their total cost would be less, if the motorcycle survived to the end of the term.”

BMW’s buy-back offer reduced the net cost of each bike to $5,900—undercutting Kawasaki’s price while offering better long-term value.

Overcoming Obstacles and Perfecting the Ride

Approval wasn’t immediate. A CHP sergeant detected a wobble during final tests, prompting Stevens and his team to scramble. They replaced wheels, changed tires, and modified parts until the BMW passed CHP standards. “Thank goodness [local Sacramento dealer] A&S had a bunch of RTs in the showroom,” Stevens recalled. Ultimately, BMW’s efforts paid off, and A&S, a trusted BMW dealer since 1988, delivered the initial fleet.

Driving Reliability and Loyalty

BMW’s engineering made a real difference for officers. Maintenance intervals were longer than Kawasaki’s—6,000 miles between services instead of 3,000—and the shaft drive eliminated frequent chain adjustments. Many bikes hit 60,000 miles in under two years, leading the CHP to extend their service life limits to 80,000, then 100,000, and eventually 120,000 miles.

Officers also appreciated BMW’s support. “They discovered how well BMW dealers take care of their customers, which created a bond of loyalty that certainly didn’t exist with Kawasaki,” Stevens noted. Officers could even buy discounted civilian BMWs, spreading goodwill for the brand.

Continuous Improvements and Nationwide Adoption

BMW didn’t rest on its laurels. The R 1100 RT was replaced by the R 1150 in 2001, the R 1200 RT in 2004, and the current R 1250 RT in 2019—each adapted as an RT-P Authority bike. Features like electronic engine management allowed BMWs to run on regular fuel, saving agencies thousands each year.

BMW also introduced innovations such as modern sirens, integrated lighting, improved alternators, and even rifle holsters tailored to police needs. As Stevens put it, “They experienced a relationship that radiates through all of the people within their orbit of influence, and it really did contribute noticeably to sales of motorcycles in California.”

Though the CHP briefly switched to Harley-Davidsons, they continue adding new BMWs to their fleet. Today, BMW RT-P motorcycles serve major agencies including the Los Angeles Police Department, the Phoenix Police Department, and the Honolulu Police Department.

A Legacy of Excellence on America’s Roads

BMW’s dedication to police motorcycle design, unmatched customer support, and willingness to innovate transformed their bikes into trusted partners for law enforcement. Officers and agencies across the country continue to rely on BMW’s legendary performance and commitment to rider safety.

The 2026 BMW M2 CS: Unleashing Next-Level Driving Thrills with 523 hp and Motorsport DNA

Submitted by newsonline24.c… on
The 2026 BMW M2 CS: Unleashing Next-Level Driving Thrills with 523 hp and Motorsport DNA
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – BMW has officially lifted the veil on the 2026 BMW M2 CS, a thrilling evolution of its compact high-performance sports car that’s set to redefine driving pleasure for enthusiasts craving both track-day performance and everyday usability. With a 523 hp inline 6-cylinder engine, a nearly 100-pound weight reduction, and CS-exclusive chassis enhancements, the new M2 CS promises adrenaline-pumping acceleration and razor-sharp dynamics like never before.

A Powerhouse Engine That Sets the Pulse Racing

At the heart of the M2 CS lies a reworked 3.0-liter S58 inline 6-cylinder engine, tuned by BMW M engineers to deliver 523 hp at 6,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque between 2,700 and 5,730 rpm. This marks a 50 hp jump over the standard M2, thanks to upgrades like optimized engine mapping and motorsport-derived details, including a forged crankshaft, closed-deck construction, and wire-arc sprayed iron cylinder bores. With these enhancements, the M2 CS surges from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 188 mph.

Precision Handling Meets Intelligent Lightweight Design

The new M2 CS features an impressive 97-pound weight reduction achieved through strategic use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) in components like the roof, trunk lid, rear diffuser, and M Carbon bucket seats. The result is a power-to-weight ratio of 7.2 lbs/hp, enhancing agility and responsiveness.

BMW has also fine-tuned the Adaptive M Suspension, lowering the chassis by 0.2 inches and recalibrating the springs, dampers, and M Servotronic steering for unmatched precision. CS-exclusive forged alloy wheels in matte Gold Bronze, measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, come fitted with high-performance tires, ensuring outstanding grip.

A Ferocious Design with Track-Ready Features

BMW M Hybrid V8 Battles Hard But Misses Podium in Detroit Street Race

BMW M Hybrid V8 Battles Hard But Misses Podium in Detroit Street Race
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – BMW M Team RLL faced a challenging weekend in Detroit as both BMW M Hybrid V8 cars missed the podium for the first time this IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship sprint race season, despite promising qualifying performances. After a fierce 100-minute battle through the tight city circuit, the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8 finished fifth, while the #25 car came home seventh following a post-race penalty.

A Promising Start That Fell Short in the Race

The weekend looked hopeful when Sheldon van der Linde and Dries Vanthoor secured third and fourth on the grid, ending Vanthoor’s impressive streak of four consecutive pole positions. But Detroit’s unforgiving streets didn’t allow the BMW M Hybrid V8s to capitalize on these strong starts.

Dries Vanthoor shared his thoughts after the race: "That was a tough race. On my part, I didn’t get a good start and lost two positions. Over the course of the race, we didn’t optimise our strategy. We need to keep working on this and understand why others are doing a better job in this area. We’ll come back fighting next time."

Sheldon van der Linde added: "What started with a great qualifying and third place unfortunately ended with relatively few points in the race. I was very happy with my lap in qualifying. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to capitalise on the good starting position in the race. That’s something we absolutely need to improve on. I’m confident that we’ll manage to do so in Watkins Glen. The BMW M Hybrid V8 has performed well there in the past, and I hope we can secure our first podium of the season."

Challenges Continue for Paul Miller Racing in GTD PRO

In the GTD PRO class, Paul Miller Racing showed early promise with third and fourth starting positions. However, technical issues and incidents derailed both crews’ efforts, leading to disappointment:

  • The #1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO driven by Madison Snow and Neil Verhagen “suffered technical issues, causing it to lose several laps and ultimately finish 11th in class.”
  • The #48 car of Dan Harper and Max Hesse “fought for a podium spot for a long time, but after a collision and a subsequent drive-through penalty, Hesse dropped to seventh in class.”

Determined to Bounce Back at Watkins Glen

Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport, summed up the team’s resolve: "Unfortunately, the race in Detroit did not go as we had hoped. After qualifying, things looked promising with third and fourth places in both classes, but unfortunately, we were unable to maintain those positions in a tough race with many contacts. In the GTP class, our streaks of four pole positions and two consecutive podiums have come to an end, but we are determined to start new streaks at the next race at Watkins Glen. Paul Miller Racing needs to quickly put this disappointing race behind them. We will carefully analyse what caused the issue with the #1 car."

Looking Ahead: Watkins Glen Offers Hope

Despite the Detroit setback, BMW M Motorsport fans have reason to stay optimistic. With the BMW M Hybrid V8’s proven track record at Watkins Glen, the team is focused on turning their fortunes around and reclaiming podium finishes in the coming races.

BMW i Ventures Leads $10M Investment to Revolutionize Data Quality with Qualytics
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – BMW i Ventures is taking a major step to transform data quality management by leading a $10 million Series A investment in Qualytics, an innovative platform that automates data quality for enterprises. As companies accelerate their AI and analytics efforts, reliable data has never been more important — and Qualytics is stepping up to meet the need.

Empowering Enterprises to Trust Their Data

Founded by data veterans Gorkem Sevinc and Eric Simmerman, Qualytics gives businesses the power to proactively manage data quality through automated anomaly detection, intelligent rule generation, and intuitive no-code workflows. The platform is designed for seamless collaboration between technical and business teams. The investment aligns with Gartner’s prediction that “70% of organizations will adopt modern data quality tools by 2027.”

Driving Change in the AI Era

Introducing the investment, Baris Guzel, Partner at BMW i Ventures, shared: “At its core, Qualytics solves a problem every data-driven organization thinks it’s managing, until the costs of bad data hit,” said Baris Guzel, Partner at BMW i Ventures. “The dirty secret in today’s AI arms race is that most models are trained on unreliable inputs. Garbage in, garbage out. Qualytics flips that on its head. They bring continuous, automated data quality monitoring to the production layer and that’s a foundational shift. We’ve seen this movie before: cloud migration, observability, DevOps. The winners are the ones who instrument complexity without slowing velocity. Qualytics does just that for data quality. The team is technical, focused, and early in a massive wave. We’re thrilled to back them.”

Meeting Demand with Scalable Solutions

Qualytics’ momentum is evident with its recent milestone of signing one of the top three U.S. financial institutions, reinforcing its position as the trusted data quality platform for large, data-driven enterprises. Its platform integrates smoothly across modern and legacy environments, connecting with leading tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, and data catalogs like Atlan and Alation — ensuring flexibility for organizations modernizing their data operations.

Automation for Reliable AI and Analytics

Organizations face two urgent data challenges: ensuring reliable data to power AI and analytics, and democratizing governance across teams. Qualytics directly addresses both with a deeply automated platform that profiles data to support deep learning at scale, automatically infers and evolves quality rules, and streamlines remediation — all with minimal setup. By replacing complex, manual rule-writing with intelligent automation, Qualytics empowers technical and business teams to co-own data quality, helping avoid costly failures that average $12.9 million annually for organizations.

Accelerating Growth for Better Customer Outcomes

To keep up with rising demand, Qualytics is expanding its team across engineering, product management, customer success, and sales — accelerating its ability to onboard new customers and support existing ones.

Gorkem Sevinc, Co-Founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s excitement: “We’re excited to partner with BMW i Ventures and other investors to scale Qualytics,” said Gorkem Sevinc, Co-Founder and CEO. “Working closely with large enterprises has shaped our product into one that’s scalable, flexible, and built for collaboration. Eric and I built the platform we always wanted in our own careers, one that puts automation and usability at the heart of data quality management. With this new investment and our strong revenue growth, we’re more confident than ever that Qualytics is delivering what modern data practitioners truly need to manage data quality at scale.”

A Bright Future for Data Quality

With BMW i Ventures’ backing and growing market adoption, Qualytics is set to redefine how enterprises manage data integrity in an AI-powered world — ensuring consumers enjoy smarter, faster, and more reliable digital experiences.

BMW M4 GT3 EVO Clinches First IMSA Victory at Watkins Glen

BMW M4 GT3 EVO Clinches First IMSA Victory at Watkins Glen
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – September 23, 2025 – In a thrilling display of determination and teamwork, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO secured its first win in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the Six Hours of the Glen, with BMW M works drivers Dan Harper and Max Hesse triumphing in the #48 Paul Miller Racing car in the GTD PRO class.

This landmark victory marks the first time the BMW M4 GT3 EVO has topped the podium in IMSA competition, as well as Harper and Hesse’s first North American win—delivering a weekend of celebration for BMW fans.

A Rollercoaster Race for the BMW M4 GT3 EVO

Starting from second place in class, Harper and Hesse faced early challenges. Harper was handed a 60-second stop-and-go penalty for crossing the red pit-exit light after a pit stop, which dropped the #48 BMW M4 GT3 EVO to last place. Despite this setback, the team fought back, helped by numerous yellow flags and perfect pit strategies, ultimately taking the lead and sealing a memorable win.

Sharing his excitement, Dan Harper stated: "We kept a cool head in a hot race. Unfortunately, I made a mistake at the pit exit early on, which earned us the penalty. I’m very glad we were able to make up for it during the race. Max did the hard work in the middle of the race to bring us back to the front. The team had a perfect strategy and fantastic pit stops. I asked the team to let me drive the final stint to make up for my earlier mistake. Luckily, we managed to do that together, and we were able to celebrate our first win of the season. We’ve had good pace in almost every race so far, and now we’ve finally been rewarded with the right result. Hopefully, this is the start of a strong second half of the season."

Max Hesse highlighted the weekend’s highs and lows: "It was an incredibly good weekend for us at Watkins Glen. The team told us beforehand that they’ve often been strong here in the past, so we were really looking forward to it, but the race was anything but easy. With second place in qualifying by Dan and a good start, things initially went great, but then the rain came, and we got the 60-second penalty, which dropped us to last place. We were frustrated because we thought we had thrown away a top result but there were many yellow flags, and our car was very strong on restarts. I gradually worked my way back to first place, and Dan did an amazing job in the final stint. I’m very proud and happy for the team. Unfortunately, the #1 car had the penalty at the end. The team deserved a one-two finish. After five races, we are now third in the championship and have two podiums. Things are going well for us here in North America."

Mixed Emotions for BMW M Team RLL

While the GTD PRO class brought joy, the race was less kind to BMW M Team RLL in the GTP class. The #25 BMW M Hybrid V8, driven by Sheldon van der Linde and Marco Wittmann, retired after a crash. Meanwhile, the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8, driven by Philipp Eng and Dries Vanthoor, finished eighth after a challenging day.

Philipp Eng summed up the frustrations: "Unfortunately, it was a frustrating race. From the start of the weekend, we knew we were going into the race with difficult conditions compared to some competitors. We simply didn’t have the necessary pace. On top of that, we didn’t have a perfect race. Especially in the final stint, there might have been some opportunities through strategy, but we didn’t make the optimal decisions."

BMW Leadership Remains Upbeat

Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport, offered a candid reflection: "This was a race with mixed emotions for us at BMW M Motorsport. I am absolutely thrilled about the first victory of our BMW M4 GT3 EVO in the IMSA series! Paul Miller Racing has shown strong performances throughout the season and was often close to victory. Now it finally happened! Congratulations to Dan Harper and Max Hesse on their first win in North America! It’s unfortunate that the sister car and the #96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from Turner Motorsport couldn’t make it to the podium despite also having strong races. Overall, our GT3 programme in the U.S. is in excellent shape. Our BMW M Hybrid V8 had to fight with blunt weapons at Watkins Glen. BMW M Team RLL and our drivers gave it their all, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the flawless race we needed to make the most of the circumstances. Now we are determined to return to our former strength at the next GTP class race in Road America."

BMW enthusiasts can catch the next chapter as the brand looks ahead to Road America, eager to build on this historic victory. Learn more at www.bmw-m.com/motorsport.
