Ohio Cycling Event Marks America's 250th With Four Routes for All Levels

Xenia – September 25, 2026 -- Cyclists, families and history enthusiasts can register now for the United Way Americana 250 Cycling Classic, a new fundraising ride set for Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center in Xenia, Ohio.

The inaugural event, part of the Tour de Gem Cycling Series, runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers four routes: the 10-mile Liberty Ride for families, the 25-mile Pioneer Expedition, the 40-mile Heritage Quest, and the 64-mile Patriot Tour, a metric century connecting several Greene County communities. All rides begin and end at the fairgrounds, located at 120 Fairground Road.

Organizers chose Greene County as the event's centerpiece because it hosts the largest paved trail network in the nation, according to the announcement.

3W uses 3D scanning and VigorMold injection molding to build custom-fit floor liners and truck bed mats for vehicles including the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler and Toyota 4Runner. The mats are made from Thorex TPE material, which the company says is waterproof and easy to rinse clean after off-road use.

Hurricane, Utah – September 24, 2026 -- Off-road electronics brand Wolfbox will run a "Blockout Challenge" at the 11th Annual Monster Energy Trail Hero Event, blocking drivers' exterior views entirely and forcing them to navigate an obstacle course using only its FlexPilot camera system. The weeklong event, powered by Greater Zion, takes place Sept. 28 through Oct. 3 in Hurricane, Utah.

Qualifying rounds run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 2, with 10 teams competing each day on a scored obstacle course. The top eight teams advance to an Oct. 3 final at The Chute, one of Sand Hollow's recognizable rock-crawling obstacles. Members of the public can ride shotgun with a Wolfbox driver during the Oct. 1 and 2 afternoon sessions.

Award-Winning Field of Screams Maryland Delays Reopening Until 2027

Olney, Md. – September 24, 2026 -- Field of Screams Maryland, ranked #1 Best Haunted Attraction in USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards, will not reopen this fall and is pushing its return to 2027, organizers confirmed.

The 24-year-old haunted attraction, a fixture named best haunted house and trail by the Washington Post and Baltimore Sun, had completed an 11-month redesign featuring 22 all-new stations, an updated haunted house, and new lighting, sound, and infrastructure.

The event will reopen once the Olney Boys and Girls Community Sports Association's (OBGC) Special Exception is amended to expressly include fundraising events on the property, according to organizers.

Coco Gauff Joins Florida Flamingos as Player-Owner for WTT Relaunch

NEW YORK – September 24, 2026 -- World Team Tennis (WTT) announced that Coco Gauff has joined the Florida Flamingos Racquet Club as both a player and an owner ahead of the league's December relaunch.

Gauff will play two home matches at Amerant Bank Arena.

She is slated to compete on Monday, December 14, and Tuesday, December 15, against Victoria Mboko of Toronto North and Jessica Pegula of the New York Empire, according to projected lineups.
