The Equitana Innovation Prizes have now been awarded. Our panel of experts chose a winner in each of seven categories as well as awarding a special prize. There was also a clear winner in the eyes of the Equitana social media community when it came to the Visitor’s Prize. In the final vote, the majority selected a belt made of apple leather by Royal Horsemen. “This prize is hugely encouraging for us because community management is very important to us. It is vital that we are as close to the consumer as possible,” CEO Robin Schuster stressed.

The World Equestrian Show celebrates its anniversary with 450 exhibitors from 15 nations, with 80,000 expected visitors and 400 hours of programme. Skinny fat refers to exactly that: people who appear slim on the outside but have a lot of fat and little muscle mass on the inside. They are also called metabolically obese with normal weight (MONW), are mainly physically inactive and have more fat than healthy normal weight people (over 23 percent in men, over 30 percent in women), especially visceral fat.

In the medical world, this phenomenon is also known as TOFI (thin outside, fat inside). According to the BMI (Body Mass Index), these people are of normal weight, but have too much body fat. However, this is not visible from the outside in the subcutaneous tissue, but is well hidden between the organs in the abdominal cavity.
