55% of Americans Gamble Monthly, and Many Expect to Win

Provo – – October 13, 2026 -- More than half of U.S. adults (55%) gamble at least monthly, and roughly 1 in 8 gamble every day, according to a new national survey from the Wheatley Institute at Brigham Young University. Monthly participation is higher among men (63%) than women (48%).

Young adults bet to make money, not just for fun

About 4 in 10 respondents name making money as a primary reason they gamble. Among adults ages 18 to 29, money edges out entertainment, 53% to 50%. Adults 30 and older lean the other way, with 51% citing entertainment and 37% citing financial gain.

The report, "Gambling With Our Future," draws on a survey of 2,548 U.S. adults. It covers 16 activities, from lottery tickets and charity raffles to mobile sports betting, prediction markets and high-risk financial trading treated as a wager.

Aonic Club Sells Protein and Supplements at Cost for $49

San Francisco – October 13, 2026 -- Aonic Club, a new membership service, lets members buy products at cost with no retail markup. Founding members pay $49 for the first year, a launch rate that undercuts the regular $99 first-year fee.

The service starts with Aonic's existing catalog of protein and supplement products. A waitlist for membership opens October 13 at aoniclife.com.

Membership fees replace product markups

Aonic says traditional retail prices stack markups from brokers, distributors, brands and retailers. To remove those layers, it sources ingredients directly, controls its formulas and production, and sells online to members.

Membership is the company's only source of profit. After the first year, the fee rises to $149. The company says it uses AI to improve sourcing and operations, and relies on its community and product value to cut marketing spend.

Veer Hauler: A $599 Fold-Flat Gear Cart That Lets You Pack Once

Atlanta – October 13, 2026 -- The Veer Hauler, a modular flatbed gear cart priced at $599 MSRP, is available now on goveer.com and aims to end the cycle of packing, unpacking and repacking gear for every outing.

Veer built the system around one idea: pack once, roll everywhere. The company, which launched in 2017 with the Veer Cruiser stroller-wagon hybrid, is now extending its approach from hauling kids to hauling everything else that comes with a day outside.

Lift-off SmartBins move gear from car to destination fully packed

The Hauler combines a SmartDeck flatbed with removable SmartBins. Bins can be packed once, then lifted on and off the Hauler while still full. They come in two sizes and stack up to three high.

The Hauler is also an open system. It works with standard containers people already own, including Rubbermaid and Sterilite bins, so buyers do not have to start from scratch.

Creality K3 Swaps Nozzles in 5 Seconds, Pre-Orders From $849

Houston – October 13, 2026 -- Creality has opened US pre-orders for the K3, a flagship 3D printer starting at $849 that swaps between four nozzles in about 5 seconds instead of purging filament through a single one. The company says this cuts total print times by up to 80% and material waste by up to 85% compared with conventional single-nozzle multi-color workflows.

Four nozzles replace constant filament purging

Conventional single-nozzle multi-color printers repeatedly retract, reload, and purge filament, which can mean hundreds or thousands of changes per print. The K3 instead keeps four filaments ready in independent channels. Its proprietary KliTekTM system switches between lightweight nozzle assemblies. Complete material changes take under 15 seconds, and color switching is up to five times faster than conventional workflows, according to Creality.
