Cologne, 31 January 2023 – The University of St. Gallen, one of the leading business schools in Europe, is the new science partner of insureNXT. To start the cooperation, the Future.Talk "Business Transformation in the Insurance Economy: New Impulses through Business Model Innovations" is taking place on 14 February in St. Gallen. Highlights in the programme of the Future.Talk are use cases from UPTO (AXA), Baloise DE and Helvetia Versicherungen Germany, as well as the keynote of the investor and TV lion Carsten Maschmeyer. How do innovations find their way into new business models? How does one design successful ecosystems in the insurance economy? Answers to these questions will be provided by the first joint event of the Institute of Insurance Economics of the University of St. Gallen (I.VW-HSG) and insureNXT, which will take place on 14 February in St. Gallen and online. The Future.Talk thus expands the "insureNXT impulse" format - an event series with which insureNXT remains in contact with the network throughout the year and repeatedly provides a foretaste of the big event on 26 and 27 April in Cologne. Close links between the I.VW-HSG and insureNXT already exist. Alexander Braun is Director at the I.VW-HSG and heads the research team "Innovation in Risk and Insurance". He is an Associate Professor for insurance and capital markets at the University of St. Gallen, a member of the Advisory Board and a juror for the Innovators Award of insureNXT. Alexander Braun already presented current research findings and insights in the context of insureNXT 2021 and 2022 with themes from his research activity. In 2023 too, he will talk about the latest developments in business transformation on the Trendzone stage of insureNXT. Science partners: business school meets innovation platform "The cooperation with insureNXT, the most important platform for innovations in the entire German-speaking insurance economy, is in my opinion an ideal symbiosis", says Prof. Alexander Braun. “I am very pleased that we are in a position to expand the cooperation, establish a science partnership and in this way profit even more from our different perspectives."
