SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 31, 2024 – ProWein, the world's leading trade fair for wines and spirits, is set to return to Düsseldorf, Germany, from March 16-18, 2025, with a fresh look, a new hall layout, and a dynamic motto: "Discover the Taste of Tomorrow."
The event will showcase the complete world of wines and spirits, with over 60 nations represented and a diverse range of offerings, from classic wines to trending spirits and organic options.
A key highlight of ProWein 2025 will be the new Business Forum, expanding on the existing ProWein Forum to offer even more expert lectures on current industry topics and promote knowledge exchange.
"Despite or precisely because times are so challenging, there is a great interest in ProWein," says Peter Schmitz, Director of ProWein. "We are massively investing in new offers and services to provide the sector with exactly the support it needs now."
Exploring the World of Wines and Spirits
ProWein 2025 will feature a more condensed hall layout, making it easier for visitors to navigate and explore the vast array of wines and spirits.
Germany will have a strong presence in Halls 1 and 4, showcasing all its wine-growing regions, the VDP, the MUNDUS VINI tasting zone, and the Gastro-Lounge "urban gastronomy by #asktoni & ProWein."
The organic sector will also be prominently featured, with numerous individual exhibitors and associations, the special show Organic World, and the presentation of the sustainability prize CARLO by Fair and Green.
The ProWein Zero area, dedicated to the no/low segment, has grown significantly due to increased demand.
Italy, the world's largest wine producer, will have a large presence in Halls 15 and 16, with a diverse range of wineries, from small boutiques to large export firms. All 20 Italian regions will be represented, including the Italian Trade Agency ITA/ICE, which will offer Masterclasses and complimentary tastings.
France will showcase its offerings in Hall 10, featuring the Champagne Lounge, exclusive tastings from the "Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux," and the France Forum by Business France. Many renowned champagne houses will also be present.
Spain will have a strong showing with leading companies like Miguel Torres, Codorníu, and Marqués de Cáceres, as well as regional representation and participation from ICEX and La Rioja.
The new world will be showcased in Hall 12, with representation from the USA, South America, South Africa, Oceania, and Asia.
Portugal will be featured in Hall 9, alongside a strong presence from Central and Eastern Europe with 15 expected country pavilions. Greece and Austria will be located in Hall 17.
ProSpirits: A Dedicated Space for Spirits
The ProSpirits brand world, successfully launched at ProWein 2024, will return to Hall 5, focusing on trending spirits like whisk(e)y, low-alcohol beverages, rum, and fruit brandies.
The trend show "same but different" for the urban bar scene will be located in Hall 7.0, featuring pioneers and market leaders in craft spirits, craft beer, and cider.
