  • E-Commerce Returns: Michael Gerling (EHI Retail Institute) and Ingo Leiner (Hornbach) led a discussion on the challenges of returns in e-commerce, focusing on customer behavior and strategies for optimization. The session also explored sustainable logistics solutions with Andre Kranke from Dachser SE.
  • Product Compliance and Sustainability: Professor Thomas Klindt from Noerr law firm provided insights into product liability and product recalls. A panel discussion with Imke Ide (BHB), Alexander Rüeck (Osapiens), Melanie Schittek (OBI), and Oliver Koopmann (Bauhaus) explored transparency and solutions for navigating sustainability regulations.
  • Artificial Intelligence in Retail: Dr. Tim Wirtz from the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems presented an overview of AI applications in retail, highlighting both the opportunities and limitations of current AI technologies.
