Criosfera: Inspired by Nature
Another exceptional design on display is Criosfera, a creation by Italian architect Giulia Foscari. Inspired by the fascinating appearance of ice core samples, Criosfera is made from blown recycled glass, reflecting Artemide's commitment to sustainability. Its optical core mirrors the layers of ice and the air bubbles trapped within, showcasing the craftsmanship involved in its creation. The engravings on Criosfera gently scatter light into the room, creating a soft and ambient illumination.
Helgoland: The Efficiency of Nature
Artemide will also showcase Helgoland, a technically and visually impressive spotlight inspired by the intelligence of bees. Its compact, hexagonal light elements work together to generate a high luminous flux, resulting in a uniform and energy-efficient emission.
Hoy Refractive: Maximum Efficiency in a Minimalist Design
Another highlight is Hoy Refractive by Foster+Partners Industrial Design, a system that delivers maximum efficiency in a minimalist design. The modules with patented Refractive technology precisely control the light beam, directing it exclusively onto the work surface. Hoy Refractive sets new standards for efficient workplace lighting with its slim 10 cm profile.
Somnium: A Synthesis of Light and Transparency
Somnium, a creation by Carlotta de Bevilacqua, utilizes the transparency of its material to create a friendly and warm lighting atmosphere through reflections and refractions. The lenses seamlessly integrate with the glare shield, typically used to obscure the light source, resulting in a unique and visually comfortable luminaire.
