SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 11, 2025 – Italy’s roads came alive with emotion, heritage, and horsepower as the 43rd edition of the 1000 Miglia concluded in Brescia, turning a five-day race into a national celebration led by FIAT and Abarth. With cheering crowds, classic cars, and a heartfelt tribute to the Fiat 600 on its 70th anniversary, the event blended nostalgia with cutting-edge innovation in true Italian style.
A national road trip filled with memories and meaning
The legendary 1000 Miglia, which unfolded from June 17 to June 21, became much more than a race—it was a vibrant rediscovery of Italy’s culture and community. FIAT and Abarth led the charge with their unmistakable presence, reconnecting with thousands of passionate fans who lined the streets, waved flags, and turned each stop into a shared celebration of automotive history and pride.
This year’s event honored the Fiat 600, a car that once transformed mobility in post-war Italy, with an all-female crew driving a first-series 1955 model. Their participation was more than symbolic—it was a tribute to designer Dante Giacosa’s vision, commemorated on the 120th anniversary of his birth.
An iconic model meets modern mobility
Alongside the historic Fiat 600, modern counterparts played an essential role as “Support Cars” throughout the demanding 1,900-kilometer route. FIAT and Abarth showcased two innovative models:
- Fiat 600 Hybrid: Combining Italian flair with a sustainable hybrid powertrain, this five-door car offered the support crew efficiency and comfort along the journey.
- Abarth 600e Scorpionissima: A high-voltage tribute to Abarth’s performance roots, it boasts a 280-hp electric motor and stands as the most powerful Abarth ever built.
Their presence wasn’t just practical—it symbolized the seamless evolution from classic ingenuity to future-forward design.
A route of passion and people
The 2025 edition retraced the traditional figure-eight route of the first 1000 Miglia races, spanning over 400 vehicles from 29 countries. Starting in Brescia, the journey wound through cities such as Verona, Rome, Siena, San Marino, and Parma before ending triumphantly where it began.
Every kilometer was met with cheers, applause, and heartfelt emotion. FIAT emphasized the spirit of community, with moments that turned spectators into participants. “They didn’t just watch the race, but became an integral part of it—its true stars,” the organizers reflected.
A living symbol of Italian pride
FIAT and Abarth used the race not only to honor the past but to inspire the future. With the support of Stellantis Heritage, the vintage Fiat 600 completed the route in full, a testament to its durability and charm. The journey illustrated how cars can connect generations and how history and technology can drive hand in hand.
In the end, the 2025 1000 Miglia wasn’t merely a motorsport event—it was a heartfelt celebration of identity, innovation, and the enduring magic of Italian design. As the streets of Brescia echoed with applause one final time, it was clear: the Fiat 600 remains more than a car—it’s a cherished legacy.
