SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 23, 2025 – Peugeot has unveiled its ambitious roadmap for 2025, placing a strong emphasis on performance, electric vehicle expansion, and sustainability. Alain Favey, the new CEO of Peugeot Brand, kicked off the year by outlining his strategic vision during the third edition of E-LION DAY.
Performance and Customer Focus
“In addition to the beautiful products already present in our markets, it’s by focusing on our customers and strengthening our partnerships that we will build a bright, successful and sustainable future for PEUGEOT. In 2025, we are definitely in performance mode!,” stated Alain Favey. Peugeot is prioritizing performance with a focus on delivering excellence, especially within France. The brand is bolstering its electric vehicle lineup, already the most extensive among mainstream European brands, with the launch of the E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor 325 hp and the E-5008 5-seater.
Expanding the Electric Vehicle Lineup
Peugeot’s commitment to leading the EV mainstream European market is evident in its continuous expansion of electric models. In 2024, Peugeot sold nearly 1.1 million vehicles globally and doubled its electric vehicle orders. The brand also led in electric vehicle sales in Europe within the B segment and the light commercial vehicle market. The new 3008 has achieved over 120,000 orders, with 22% being the 100% electric E-3008, surpassing the segment average.
In 2025, Peugeot will accelerate its electric journey by expanding its range to 12 fully electric models. The new high-performance 100% electric version of the E-3008 and E-5008, the Dual Motor 325 hp with all-wheel drive, will soon be available. This model combines a standard 213 hp front e-motor with an additional 112 hp rear e-motor, providing a total of 325 hp.
The 5-seater version of the Peugeot E-5008 will arrive in the first half of 2025, offering a benchmark boot volume of 994L with the second row in place, and 2310L with the second row folded. This caters to customers seeking large loading capacity without compromising driving pleasure. Peugeot now offers a triple SUV lineup: the Peugeot 3008 for design and tech enthusiasts, the Peugeot 5008 5-seat for families, and the Peugeot 5008 7-seat for those needing extra space.
Efficiency and Customer Experience
Peugeot’s electric vehicles are setting new efficiency standards. The ADAC Ecotest in 2024 recognized the Peugeot E-208 and E-308 as the most efficient cars on the market. The Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range offer ranges of 700 km and 668 km, respectively, making them ideal for long-distance travel. A new battery preheating system, linked to cabin preheating, optimizes charging during cold weather, and will soon be managed automatically through the Trip Planner.
To support the transition to electrification, Peugeot offers a wide range of electrified powertrains, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. The Hybrid e-DCS6 powertrain is available across the Peugeot range, offering up to 15% fuel consumption reduction and 50% electric operation in urban settings. The plug-in hybrid technology, available in models like the 3008, offers up to 87 km of 100% electric range.
Peugeot is also enhancing the customer experience with the Peugeot ELECTRIC PROMISE, which includes an 8-year battery and vehicle warranty, a Wall Box for home charging, and a Free2Move Charge pass for access to nearly one million charging points across Europe. “With the 100% electric vehicle, the customer experience is more than ever the key to success. At PEUGEOT, the electric experience is designed to be pleasurable and easy,” Peugeot stated.
Sustainability and Education
Peugeot is committed to sustainability through its five “E-pillars”: Electric, Efficiency, Experience, Education, and Environment. The brand is intensifying its collaboration with Born Free and Under the Pole. As the official Education Partner for Born Free, Peugeot will provide Landtrek pickups to support their work at the Kenya Feline Sanctuary. The brand is also co-creating educational content with Under the Pole to promote ocean preservation.
Peugeot is aligned with Stellantis’ goal to achieve net-zero carbon. The brand is adopting sustainable industrial methods and materials, with 85% of the materials used in the Peugeot E-3008 being recyclable. “Vehicle electrification is a crucial element, but only part of the roadmap to Carbon Net Zero. The PEUGEOT approach also involves adopting sustainable industrial methods and materials in our product manufacturing,” Peugeot explained.
“Becoming PEUGEOT Brand CEO gives me great pride, but also a strong sense of responsibility. The brand is strong, the line-up is complete, with a unique combination of electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models on the same platforms. We are confident that we have all the assets to succeed and contribute to a sustainable future for tomorrow’s generation,” said Alain Favey.
